To survive the coming centuries and fulfill our potential as a species, we will have to overcome the biggest challenges we have ever faced, from extreme climate change, to rogue A.I., to the inevitable death of the sun itself.
If we succeed, our potential is cosmic in scale. Incredible prosperity is within our reach. But the wrong moves could push us into irreversible collapse.
In this series, we will travel forward in time to see the beautiful, strange, and ugly futures that humanity could face, and chart a course for how to thrive not just for the next few centuries, but for billions or even trillions of years.
Mankind will survive all but the bleakest futures. We have the intelligence and tenacity. The question is not will we survive, but how will we.
