Chapter 140 – Jesus Almighty, What Happened to my Status Page?

“You have registered  ‘The Cult of Elekir’ as your official guild under the All Spirit’s domain. Currently all officially registered guilds do not have access to guild interfaces and perks, but these things will be opened to you upon the opening of the Labyrinth. In the meantime, know that all guild members will be transferred over into the Labyrinth as one unit, together, when the great merging occurs. 14 of 50 Current Core Guild Members: Trey and Minions, Ashe and Minions, Izumi, Jason, Carol, Silvara, Yastiel, Lueth, Maltetious, Taen and Minions, Chris, Michael, Itunu, Aiko.”

Ah. So Alkir had been right, minions didn’t count towards the core number of guildmates one could have… though to his knowledge, the max amount of guild members had been unknown when last speaking to Alkir. Had it just been set at 50? Or would that number change?

He had no idea.

Either way, he really liked the new name. “Cult of Elekir” was a combination of Eleknar’s name and Alkir’s name, resulting in Elekir. It sounded pretty nice too, and was more representative of what they actually were – followers on an Infernal Crown and the dark goddess herself. Rivia had especially appreciated the name as she’d been the one who’d come up with it, and she’d beamed at the praise Trey had for her concerning the choice. Her happiness expanded a thousand fold beyond that when she heard Trey’d secured the 7th writ for her, and had thrown her arms around him to snag a long, drawn out, passionate kiss before squealing with excitement and bouncing over to where Ezdeath was to tell the other demoness of her luck.

As for the warning Alkir had given him regarding having his cousin and the other vetteresies in the guild, Trey’d disregarded that the moment he’d had a heart to heart conversation with Yastiel. Yastiel, and to a lesser degree – Lueth, were solid choices. As long as Agnude was in it for the long haul anyways. Trey had slight concerns about their stance regarding Maltetious, but Maltetious had personally assured him that she would try to work on mending ties as long as Trey could promise her to follow through with the promises Eleknar had made her…

To which she was still not specific about. But Trey had told her as long as it was within reason and within his power, he’d do it.

The first step of the plan was simple. Rivia could portal everyone into the cellars of the Okt compound when Trey recalled her back to the nether realm from her place in the forests and then summon her back to his side in Zekul, but she’d need to have her DP sustained as they went through. Every soul that entered and exited her portals would cost her divinity points, or DP, and normally it would be impossible to perform such a feat by herself…

Thankfully though, she had a perk she’d gotten upon accepting Alkir’s path to sainthood quest that would rather help with this:

She had a fucking ridiculous amount of DP due to her Faith stat. She also had a new ritual, one of 3 apparent abilities – including the portal ability, that allowed her to sacrifice people in order to regain divinity points. And thanks to Trey’s cousin Carol, they had an entire pen full of prisoners of war that they could sacrifice to Alkir just for that. Rivia would set up the diagrams, leave everything in place for Carol’s group to use, and would gain the DP points from the sacrifices even though she wasn’t there to do it herself as she portal people in.

Now it was only up to Trey to get down to the massive underground cellar and secure it for enough time to get all of his guildmates through and over a hundred vetteresie warriors following Carol and Silvara around. He’d only been down there once, but was more than certain it could fit a few hundred people there even aside from all the supplies and random crap the vampires of the Okt coven stored there. Then, after everyone was in position, he would march his own forces up to the coven’s meeting that Kagdor had told him about – which should be happening within the next few hours – and send Carol’s forces to secure the rest of the compound. Personally he didn’t know how good these ‘elite’ vetteresie warriors really were, so he erred on the side of caution and would send Piggy, Ikt, Napoleon, and Ashe with them to specifically secure the front entrance. Ikt in particular was a key participant in this act, as the vampire guards on the outside of the compound would need to be secured for Ashe to subjugate before they were stationed back at their posts. No one could see what was happening when they were snatched, but the shadow fiend assured him that this would be an easy task.

“I am level 307, my liege…” Ikt had stated with a grandeur bow when questioned on whether or not he could do it. “Have faith in me, sire, and I will bring to you the men that you desire without fail and without any attention being drawn. I swear this to you upon pain of death, and upon my name and title as a servant of Alkir herself.”

That’d been all Trey wanted to hear, and as Yastiel wished him good luck before departing to again start marching her armies northwards towards Kag’Dul – Trey and the four women with him exited the room and made their way down to the cellars.

It was time to act.

Lanterns shed yellow light along the walls as they made their way through halls of tapestries and stuffed animals slain in battles and brought back as trophies. Numerous rooms of redwood doors were passed by almost silently as the five of them headed for the spiral staircase leading down to the lower levels.

Now that the three vampiric women Trey owned had evolved into pureblooded vampires, something that – from what they told him – were almost a thing of myth, he did not want to run into anybody. And anybody that they did run into, as long as the group was small enough, would be immediately killed and dragged along with them into the lower levels. Ezdeath could have made the trek undetected by herself, but opted to stay with them as the other three girls had little to no experience in fighting or assassination yet even despite their heavily upgraded bodies that were built for war.  She had also decided to take off her armor though, as though she could usually move around in it without much noise – she didn’t want to chance it and make a mistake while alerting people to their passage.

Trey’s horned picked up vibrations from time to time, a skill he rarely used as he almost never needed to sneak around, but the stakes were high and he couldn’t risk being stopped or caught here now.

“Your skill in Sneak has raised by 1 level.”

That god damn skill was so low that it took almost no effort on his part to level it up, but nevertheless he couldn’t help but smile.

They exited on the first floor and then took a round-about hallway, turning left and coming to an abrupt run in with a vampiric man Trey knew by the name of Gorb.

Gorb’s eyes went wide in startled surprise upon seeing him and the four unusual women, but half a second later his head was decapitated by a swift strike on Ezdeath’s part – her claws unfurling and flashing ahead with inhuman speed before catching the corpse and handing it to Osi, while placing the head in Nothel’s care. Blood being spilt was nothing unusual here in the household and the red carpets were red for a reason, so as long as they didn’t leave a familiar body about them it wouldn’t cause any attention.

“Good job Ezdeath.”

The succubus beamed, but kept her attention focused on the path ahead of them as they turned yet another corner and opened another door leading down to the cellar.

This door was far larger than the others, though it didn’t get much use. Most of the food was made fresh in the kitchen, with only the cooks wandering down here for various wines and spices or the occasional set of cleaning supplies whenever need was raised. Pushing it open and letting the others through, Ezdeath shut it behind them as Trey led the way down the stone steps and into the dark recesses of the basement.

There were no lights here, but none of them had trouble seeing as they passed through the massive room buried beneath the manor. Large pillars of stone held up the compound from below, and the height of the place was at least twenty feet tall with the width and length the size of a small school. Boxes and barrels, crates and wracks of corked bottles were stacked and lined up in rows – and it really hit home then just how rich the Okt coven really was to have all of these supplies on hand and just sitting around.

Trey turned back to Ezdeath, then placed a firm hand on her shoulder. “Keep an eye on the door.”

He gave her a brief kiss that left her beaming and turned around to concentrate, sending her skipping away to the stairway they’d just come from. Meanwhile the other three women watched n silence as he raised a hand, and began to summon the magic to him.

Summoner’s Calling: Minion’s Call (Dark) - Level N/A

· Summons a specific minion you already own, or dismisses them to your personal nether realm.  Dismissing a demon to their nether realm will heal it over time and allow it to revitalize.  However, keep in mind it takes 30 seconds to channel this ability.  You may only summon or dismiss 1 minion at a time.

Thirty seconds later and a red pentagram began to etch itself into the stone floor below in a wide space within the center of the cellar that lacked any filling. Power streamed from his outstretched hand, and another thirty seconds past before the form of Rivia bloomed into existence.

The priestess took in a deep breath of air, smiled, and grinned mischeviously Trey’s way. “Hello master. It is good to see you again. I must ask though… did you truly acquire the 7th writ for me? Or are you just trying to rile me up for when you get my panties off again?”

Nothel frowned, but Trey chuckled and rolled his eyes.

“Get to it and start summoning the others. We’ll talk about your panties later.”

Rivia smirked, gave a sidelong look at the new vampires Trey’d acquired, and winked. Then she began drawing out a large, perfectly made circle with blue chalk on the ground. A flick of her wrists and runes carved themselves through magical means along the stone around them, and she flung the chalk down at her feet while lifting her hands up into the air and humming a rhythmic tune.

Trey recognized the tune as a chant in itself, lacking words, and had heard from Eleknar that the more sophisticated rituals actually required such things alongside an internal and proper image instead of words to create. Folding his arms and appreciating the beauty of his second-ever minion, he watched the priestess continue to hum and then dance around the circle’s edge as her sandaled feet skipped to the tune. The chalk she’d thrown into a powdery cloud began to follow her, and with each humming beat it radiated – expanding itself out and creating new runes – one after the other – until a spherical red ball of energy began to accumulate in the center of the circle. As it grew, electrical currents began to spark around the edge and through Rivia’s body as she waved her staff around while continuing the chant. The circle grew bigger, and bigger, and bigger, until it was easily the size of a pickup truck and radiated heat to illuminate the cellar around them.

She paused in her dance, slapped her hands together, and then Rivia spoke the single word: “Portal.”

The red light vanished in an instant, and in its place a void of black with sparking purple light erupted from its center.

And one after another, Trey’s other minions began to appear. First was Sithis – his wings flexing outwards as the large devil grinned down at him, then Napoleon riding in on Piggy’s saddle, then Atharost as his flames pulsed along his body with eager anticipation.

“Tonight, we will feast on the flesh of the dead to celebrate our reunion.” Sithis stated adamantly, patting Trey on the head like one would do a puppy dog. “Master, it has been too long to be without you. I am glad we are back together again.”

Atharost chuckled, nodding in agreement as he floated overhead. “Indeed. We must celebrate the reunion tonight after we take this compound for ourselves! I am excited, and am anxious to do battle alongside you!”

Other figures started appearing. Telipe and Izumi, then Ashe and three minotaurs, and then Jason – who held a bow and warily looked around with a frown.

“Damn it… I always end up in these shitty situations…” Jason could be heard muttering as he coughed from the dust in the room. “Fucking cultists, pirates, bandits, slavers, and now vampires. God damn it my life fucking sucks.”

Trey couldn’t help but laugh at that one, but Jason found it anything but funny.

Soon Carol had also appeared, alongside Silvara and a number of Vetteresies.

Carol’s face, usually grim, now held a smile as her sword dripped with fresh blood. “I am excited about this venture together, cousin. Now that we have understood one another, perhaps we can put our differences aside and work to better ourselves simultaneously.”

More green-tinted warriors entered after that, and then Taen along with his small horde of undead minions. Butcher, the flesh golem, had grown even larger and had a second head – along with large bone spikes erupting from nearly everywhere on his fleshy, muscular body. Then came the ghoul Bann in heavy plate mail, and the phantom Coriana as she flashed in and out of the surrounding pillars while playfully zipping around the startled vettersie warriors while giggling.

“Calm your phantom!” Silvara hissed in annoyance as Taen smiled widely. She pointed a perfectly manecured finger in Taen’s direction accusingly, and despite her outwardly beautiful appearance – the elf’s words were filled with ugliness and contempt. “She’s been an annoying pest ever since we met! Put her away, you filthy necromancer!”

Trey ignored them, instead concentrating on Rivia’s standing form while she closed her eyes – obviously under some kind of burden with every passing member that came through the portal.  Coming up around her and putting his arms around her waist, he tucked his head onto the crevice between her right shoulder and her ear… and whispered. “You’re doing well. How long until we can summon Maltetious, Ikt, and the rest of her party after you’re done with this first portal?”

“Not long.” Rivia replied with furrowed brows, holding her hands out in front of her. “The vetteresies are continuing to slaughter the prisoners as we speak and their sparks of divinity are flowing into me. Fear not, your plan will go as expected.”

With a satisfactory nod, he gave her breasts a quick squeeze and licked her ear. “You’re going to get it later tonight. It’s been a while.”

Rivia flushed and grinned, but then returned back to her state of concentration. “You’re as horny as ever, master.”

“Yup. Some things never change. Also, as soon as house Okt has been taken… we need to discuss your new abilities. It’s been a while. Make sure you assign your stat points before we go into the fight, I’ve already told the others – but your stat points are your own priority now. I trust you all to do what’s best.”

She nodded. “I will.”

He let her go and gave her another slap on the ass before turning around. Now was as good a time as any to assign his own stat points, and he eagerly pulled up his status page. By god, when he was done assigning the 250 stat points to strength, 50 skill points to shadowstep / chaos ball / chains of chaos, had taken into account the additional points Alkir had given him, and the additional Willpower stats he’d gotten from assigning the initial 250 into Strength… he was a fucking monster. But what made him even more of a god damned beast of a man, or demonic overlord more like, was Dadik’s Heart and it’s boosts of 3000 HP, 2000 MP, 2000 SP and reducing his minion requirement to 5 willpower per slot.

Jesus almighty, had he become a creature to be reconned with. This upcoming battle for the Okt compound… it wasn’t going to be a battle at all.

It was going to be a slaughter.
