Ban Together Chapter 32

“We were just playing.” Kate said and then immediately mentally cringed at how much she sounded like a teenager getting caught doing something inappropriate instead of the thousand-year vampire she was. “We were talking and I was just teasing Bella, I swear nothing was going to happen.” She added, not helping her case since everyone could smell exactly what was on Kate’s mind less than thirty seconds ago.

Athenodora sneered at the woman, a low growl just loud enough for the vampires to hear escaped from her throat. She had come to the room in order to relax with her daughter after the turmoil of dealing with the man child only for her to walk into her daughter getting seduced by the original succubus. Her emotions were already going haywire and seeing her daughter starting to get frisky with someone was the last thing she wanted to see. It was taking all of Athenodora’s willpower to not attack, either physically or verbally, the blonde woman and instead try to organize her thoughts to respond responsibly so she wouldn’t scare her daughter.

“So, you thought trying to convince her to allow you to take advantage of her on the couch was the best option to go with when ‘playing’.” Athenodora said, mentally patting herself on the back for not insulting the woman and not attacking. She would just ignore the fact that everyone in the room could practically feel her aura and how pissed she was about what she walked in on. “Or were you just hoping you weren’t going to be interrupted and you and your sisters could go back to your little games of old?”

Athenodora was still proud she wasn’t getting physical; at least resorting to verbal attacks instead of physical ones was something her mate wished she would resort to instead of physical violence. So, see? Athenodora was doing good.

“Nothing Bella didn’t consent to would have happened.” Kate said in a tense voice, trying her best to remain calm and not react to the queens cutting words. She knew if she reacted too strongly it could very well trigger something in Athenodora to attack. That was the last she wanted to happen with her mate sitting so close.

“Everything was fine, it still is.” Bella said as she stood from her seat, hoping that seeing and hearing everything was okay the queen may back down; or at least calm down a little.

Athenodora gave her daughter a quick look and then promptly decided to ignore what she said. “The fact you had to mention consent makes me think perhaps you didn’t have as much consent as you think you did and you know it.” Athenodora growled, her anger spiking at the implication of someone assaulting her daughter. If Kate even looked at her daughter without permission the warrior queen would be more than happen to remove the head to make sure it stayed stationary.

All three Denali sisters growled at what the queen was implying. Even in their days of luring and eating humans for both fun and food, none of them ever did something the human didn’t consent. Granted, most if not all men would consent to anything to be in bed with any of the women just from lust alone regardless of their safety afterwards. But that wasn’t the point, the point was Kate would never do that to anyone, let alone her own mate!

Kate tensed as the queens’ words sunk in and then took a step closer to the queen, as if preparing for a fight. Which, if the queen kept going like she was, it very well could easily turn into a fight and Kate wanted to set herself up as much as possible to come out on top. She wanted to not only defend her and her mate’s actions but she also wanted to look strong in front her mate. She could totally score a make-out session from her mate after Bella witnessed her defending their relationship to her mom.

“Just because you may have been wiling to do so to humans in your past does not mean I am.” Kate growled in defense, ignoring aura of anger growing from the queen. “I would never in a million years even dream to do something like that to a human; much less to my own mate. How sick could you be to think something was possible with a mate bond?” Kate would have kept going, always one to talk too much when no words were needed but Athenodora’s swift moves cut her off.

Athenodora moved as fast as she could, making sure to stay clear of her daughter to make sure she wasn’t hurt in the crossfire, and pinned Kate to the wall with her hands, causing cracks to form from the impact sight of Kate’s head meeting the wall.

“I will kill you if you even insinuate such a thing about me again.” Athenodora said with a fierce growl. If it wasn’t for Bella being in the room with them, she would have likely followed through on her promise already regardless of Kate’s attachment to her daughter.

“I will do the same.” Kate promised with a sneer.

Before Athenodora could even get offended by the words uttered by someone so much younger than her, a powerful electrical current surged through her body. She was caught so off guard by the attack that her grip lessoned just enough for Kate to slip though and stand direction in front of her mate to put herself between Bella and the now incredibly pissed off queen. Tanya and Irina took the opportunity to move to stand on either side of Bella, ready to move the human away from the room incase a full out brawl started. Both sisters wanted to chastise Kate for attacking the queen and likely inciting a fight but they couldn’t blame Kate. The queen had acted out first, she had put her hands on Kate in a clear threatening position before Kate attacked. They just hoped the queens would agree that Kate was in the right.

“I will kill you.” Athenodora said as she turned around with pitch black eyes.

All she had wanted to do when she ran to this room was to cuddle with her daughter and calm down with the physical reminder that her daughter was in her castle, safe and sound. She didn’t ask to walk in on Kate doing whatever flirting disaster she was attempting with her daughter. She didn’t ask for the other blonde woman to keep pissing her off with every word out of her mouth. And she definitely didn’t ask her daughter to try and defend the person who was getting a bit too cozy.

Athenodora started to move as fast her body could carry her to attack Kate and to hopefully make the woman submit without too much damage before she had to kill the electric vampire but she only got a couple steps in before her mate barged into the room.

Sulpicia had heard enough on her run to the room and could sense her mate’s anger from the very second Athenodora lost control. So, when she went into the room and saw Athenodora just starting her charge towards the younger warrior, Sulpicia knew the best way to get Athenodora to calm down, or at least to stop her attack, was to make sure Sulpicia was the only target available to her. Athenodora, no matter how lost to her anger she was, would never harm or even raise a finger against.

Sulpicia stopped in front of Kate and Athenodora stopped just few threads width away from knocking into her mate. Athenodora was so pissed, so lost in her anger, she couldn’t even bother to form words to ask what her mate was doing. All she could do was growl in frustration because she knew if she tried to move around her mate, her mate would counter every movement. She was stuck and she hated it.

“Now, now dear. We don’t want to attack our guests, do we?” Sulpicia asked in a condescending tone. She knew it would only piss off her mate even more and she was okay with that. If she pissed Athenodora off enough, poked her one too many times, Sulpicia would get to have angry sex with her wife. And she so loved angry sex with Athenodora; the older blonde always got the most creative when she was pissed. “Why don’t you four go find Didyme and Rosalie, they can fill you in on what happened with Edward?” Sulpicia said, growing more and more excited as her wife turned her attention fully towards her. Both of their arousal starting to fill the air. Yes, Sulpicia was so looking forward to having Kate as a daughter in law, her sex life would better than ever.

“Will you be okay?” Bella asked, completely unaware of how much Sulpicia was enjoying being around a pissed off Athenodora lost to her emotions.

Sulpicia had to call on every ounce of willpower she had to not turn around, turning her back to her mate would only start their sex marathon early and Sulpicia wanted to how pissed off she could get Dora before that happened. But she couldn’t stop the cooing sound slipping from her mouth at how much she loved that her daughter was concerned for her. It wouldn’t be until Bella was a vampire herself to understand the games she and her wife played were a bit on the… dark side.

“Trust me dear, the worst that will happen to me right now will either be frustration or eventual blissful soreness. You have nothing to worry about, I’ll come down our dear Dora and later we can all catch up and decide what to do moving forward.”

Kate nearly said something along the lines ‘So I get attacked by my mate’s mom for no reason and the only punishment doled out is my attacker getting laid? So unfair.’ But she knew the queens wouldn’t appreciate that. It was best to keep her mouth shut and hope Bella still gives her a make-out session because she was so hot protecting her and whatnot.

“Don’t worry Bella, they’re mates.” Tanya stepped in when Kate didn’t say anything; which she was very grateful for because anything Kate had to say likely would have only made everything worse. “Let’s go find Didyme and Rosalie and see if we can’t get updated on everything.” She said as she started to urge the human to leave.

“Alright, be safe then.” Bella said, still unsure about leaving someone behind with a very pissed off vampire. The last time she was alone with a pissed off vampire she ended up with a broken leg and a bite mark on her arm. She just didn’t want Sulpicia to get hurt and then for Athenodora to feel guilty, which she should, about attacking.

“Don’t worry Bella,” Kate said as she wrapped her arm around Bella’s shoulders and left the room, “This is basically their foreplay. It’s great anger management for Athenodora.” She said, finally starting to calm down and get back to her less than serious self that she much preferred being.

“Gross.”

Sulpicia chuckled at the stereotypical remark of a child finding out their parents had sex; she so loved having those moments now that she had a daughter. Once her mate was in a calmer mood, she was sure she would get a kick out of it too. But for now, Sulpicia kicked thoughts of her daughter out her mind, she had more pressing thoughts to think about rather than her daughter. Like, should Sulpicia try to get them to their room or just destroy this one with their fun.

Athenodora moved quickly to pick her mate up bridal style and run from the room in the direction of their play room; well, at least Sulpicia now knew she was about to have an incredibly fun time.
