Twilight One Shot - Bella/Victoria
Added 2022-05-21 20:50:38 +0000 UTCThe drive to Charlie’s house was long and boring. Charlie had tried to start a conversation with Bella but they had spent too much time apart for any real conversation to happen, much less a conversation that felt natural and not forced. But he tried. Bella actually appreciated the quiet they had fallen in to, it was better than Renee talking nonstop about anything in her life. Bella was happy to not say anything and just watch the scenery go by.
Well, she wasn’t necessarily looking at the scenery. She was imagining how striking red hair would look in the greenery.
Not long after Renee had basically dumped Bella for Phil as soon as Phil asked for a second date, Bella decided to move to Forks to live with her father. She didn’t have the best relationship with her mom, especially after having to practically raise herself and taking care of her mother, she was excited when someone else took over the job.
And to top off her finally losing the responsibility of taking care of her mother, she would be able to spend more time with her girlfriend since Forks was practically always cloudy. Once Victoria realized she would have near free reign over Forks instead of hiding in Bella’s room all the time to avoid the sun, Victoria practically packed Bella’s room up herself to help move Bella to Forks faster.
“You’ll start school on Monday.” Charlie grunted from his seat. “Unless you think you’ll need more than one day to move in?” He asked a few second later, as if realizing a teenager may need some time to get used to being in a new town and new school, not to mention unpacking all her belongings.
Bella didn’t mind starting school right away. She would be starting her junior year, halfway through the school year. There was never going to be a good day to start school; especially in a new town where new students were unheard of.
“I don’t mind starting Monday.” Bella answered. If she did have a bad day, she knew there would be someone waiting for her at home to lift her mood. Victoria was always good at making her happy.
“Good.” Charlie said before they both lapsed back into silence.
When they got home, Bella was happy to find all her stuff had arrived and was waiting for her in her room. She was shocked when Charlie told her the truck sitting in front of the house was for her. It would make sure she wouldn’t be dependent on Charlie for rides anywhere.
Once the two had dinner at the diner that Charlie apparently went to all the time, Charlie bid Bella goodnight saying they could go into town tomorrow to get whatever miscellaneous things she needed. Bella was hoping she would be able to talk her dad out of going with her in favor of going by herself so she could really just go with Victoria.
“What took you so long?” A deep voice husked from the dark corner of Bella’s room before she could turn the light on.
Bella only rolled her eyes. Her vampire had a habit of trying to mysterious and sticking to the shadows when she could. Bella hadn’t really figured out why Victoria did it, as it seemed like it was more instinct than a conscious choice she made to hide in the dark.
“I’m sure you heard what we were doing.” Bella said, turning on the light and firmly closing the door. She frowned at the doorknob when she tried to lock the door only to realize there was no lock. She felt Victoria’s hands wrap around her shoulders and pulling her backwards into a solid, ice-cold body.
“I wonder if we should get a lock.” Bella wondered out loud as she was led to her bed.
Bella felt herself being pushed onto her bed with a gentle push as Victoria moved at vampire speed to sit on Bella’s stomach on the bed.
“We won’t need one if you remember to keep quiet.” Victoria said with a wicked grin that told Bella exactly what was on Victoria’s mind.
Bella reached her hand up to grip the collar of Victoria’s shirt to pull her down but before she could attach her lips to Victoria somewhere, a long yawn escaped her. Victoria chuckled the deep chuckle Bella loved to hear.
“Why don’t you get some sleep?” Victoria asked she stretched her body out to lay completely on top of her mate. As much as Victoria would love to do some more physical activities with her mate, Bella’s health was much more important. Regardless of what her human liked to say sometimes.
“I can stay up later.” Bella insisted, fighting back a yawn.
Victoria gave her mate a wicked smile that belied so many unspoken promises. “I’m sure, I know if I were in Charlie’s position, I would want to spend some time with you after not seeing you for a few years.” Victoria couldn’t even fathom not being able to see her mate for longer than a few days; especially while she was still human.
“Yeah, I guess.” Bella said with a frown, she really only wanted to spend time with Victoria. While she would miss Charlie, he was her favorite parent even though he hadn’t spent a lot of time wit her, she knew her time as a human was limited. Oh well, if Victoria said to do it, she would. She trusted Victoria with her life and would do anything her vampire asked.
“Plus, there are some things I need to do while you are away, it will give me a chance to do it.” Victoria added, not at all looking forward to doing what she knew she needed to do.
“Do you need to hunt?” Bella asked, looking at Victoria’s eyes and studying how they weren’t nearly as vibrant when she had left Victoria a couple days ago when she had to start her journey to Forks to be there before Bella was.
“Unfortunately, I want to get that out of way before you go to school.” Victoria said with a frown, remembering the warning she had received from the local coven. She had to stay away from certain parts of the state and make sure to not get caught or she would cause problems for the coven and her human. Since the coven had already claimed this land, she had to follow their rules and not cause trouble for them or risk being kicked out of the area. She didn’t think Bella would appreciate having to leave her human life behind so soon if that were to happen because Victoria wouldn’t leave her mate behind.
Victoria had already filled Bella in on the coven that lived here. The first night she was here, the day before Bella was due to get in, she had made an arrangement with the coven. Something she was sure most of the coven was unhappy about but since Victoria had some clout with the Volturi, thanks to her bonds within the coven, they had little choice but to accept her appearance. Victoria was not above using her connections to get what she wanted; especially when it came to her mate. Thankfully because of her connections with the Volturi, she knew Bella was safe and she didn’t have to rush turning her. It also meant Bella knew the risks of being around this other coven and their vegetarian ways. Victoria was adamant to the other coven that if any harm befalls Bella because they were spending so much time at school when they were all so young, she would hunt them all down. The looks she received told her they didn’t believe her. That wasn’t her problem.
“I’m sorry.” Bella was always worried she was putting a lot of strain on Victoria’s control and she felt horrible about it.
“It’s not your fault love.” Victoria purred as she nuzzled her nose into her mates’ neck, breathing in her scent. “You only make me lose control in all the best ways.” She smirked as she smelt her mates’ arousal flare. Too bad there wasn’t anything she was going to do about it. It was too late and her mate was tired.
Bella only groaned before pushing her vampire away from her to get up so she could get dressed. It had taken a few months for Bella to get comfortable enough to change in front of Victoria. The only reason it took so long was because each and every single time she changed clothes, Victoria always lazily relaxed on her bed and gave the human her full attention. It was always unnerving to Bella to have someone’s full focus. She had expected Victoria to stop giving her so much attention the more she changed in front of her, but the redheads’ attention never wavered. Bella was surprised to realize she actually felt very prideful that she was able to keep the redhead’s attention so well.
“You’ll stay with me tonight?” Bella asked knowing she always slept her best when her vampire was next to her.
“Until dawn, then I’ll leave to go hunt.” Victoria promised. It was their usual arrangement if Victoria needed to hunt. Because her mate had lived in a desert, she had to leave fairly early to avoid being seen in the sun but it was what they had to do to keep safe.
Bella fell back into her bed after she was in her pajamas and cuddled into her vampire. “I’ll take what I can get.” Bella said with a sigh as she pushed her head into Victoria’s neck.
“Take whatever you want.” Victoria purred as she relaxed into the bed and just focused on all the points of contact her body had with her mates’.
Bella fell asleep in a manner of minutes thanks to being so relaxed in her mates’ arms. She didn’t feel when Victoria left her, only moving to take over Victoria’s old spot.
She woke shortly after Charlie did and together, they had their own individual breakfasts talked about their plans for the day. It was decided Bella really only needed a few heavier coats for the winter she would be here for her senior year. It wasn’t a big list she needed but it was enough for Charlie to agree to take her to Port Angeles for them to get the few odds and ends Bella needed or wanted. It was also a good excuse to allow Bella to drive her new truck, new to her at least, for the first time to get used to the new truck.
They ended up spending the day in Port Angeles, catching a movie and eating lunch and dinner there. Truthfully, Bella would have preferred to be at home with her vampire but she didn’t mind spending time with Charlie. He was a lot quieter and not so focused on himself like Renee was. Bella could admit she actually had fun and enjoyed her time much more than anything Renee had ever done with her. But in the end, she still would have preferred to spend time with Victoria but at least she wasn’t bored.
Victoria was waiting for her when she got home with her new clothes and helped Bella put them away to keep them out of view until she actually needed to use them. She had dinner with Charlie, something she made since she learned at breakfast, he wasn’t the best cook. She spent the night with Victoria telling her tidbits she had learned about the Cullen’s, including their gifts, and being assured by Victoria that she would be within hearing range and if anything bad happened, she would be able to intervein to protect Bella.
When Bella left for school the next morning, Charlie had left for work before Bella was even awake, Victoria again assured Bella she would be able to get to her quickly if the Cullen’s didn’t uphold their promises.
It wasn’t until after lunch that Bella was genuinely worried about the Cullen’s.
She first saw them during lunch. They all walked into the cafeteria as a group, after most everyone else was already there, and walked in with their own packed lunches from home that Bella knew they wouldn’t touch any of it. She didn’t think much of them. They all looked like they thought they were better than everyone else in the room. There seemed to only be two Cullen’s she thought she could be friends with but given who their coven was, she wasn’t sure a friendship with any of the Cullen’s was possible.
The class after lunch was the one class she had with a Cullen and it was the class that had Victoria racing onto school grounds to get her.
Bella walked in a little later than most people had because she had gotten turned around from getting from her locker to the classroom. The first thing she saw when she glanced around the room to see if she recognized anyone when she saw a Cullen, the only single one, tense and his eyes go black. Bella frowned with concern as she handed the teacher the slip she needed to have the teacher sign and then mentally curse when the teacher had her sit next to Edward Cullen who had black eyes and looked more like a statue than a student.
Bella kept an eye on Edward and realized he was gripping the table so hard it had actually started to break. It was then Bella realized she was sitting next to a hungry vampire. Had he not eaten anything before school? She knew, thanks to Victoria, that animal drinking vampires had weaker control because animal blood didn’t carry the same nutrients a vampire needed to control their thirst.
She briefly thought about yelling for Victoria as that would be the only way she would hear her, but she couldn’t yell and risk being pegged as a freak and suffer the teasing for it for the rest of her school days. She had to blend in and make sure to not stand out; it would make disappearing so much easier.
The entire class Edward grew tenser and tenser and she grew more and more worried. If he was going to do something, would his sister, the psychic, see something and help her? Or at least would she do something to protect her brother from ruining their secret? As soon as the teacher released them from class, Edward raced out of class almost too fast for a human and definitely a lot more graceful than a regular human racing to leave class from the back of the room as others moved in their way.
Instead of going to her next class, Bella walked towards the parking lot, thankful the route she was taking was also a route to go to another part of the school so she didn’t stand out too much. Bella grabbed the cell phone Victoria had gotten for her and called one of the very few numbers in there. Bella didn’t wait for the person to say anything when they answered, Victoria would only want to know what was wrong anyways.
“Something was wrong with Edward.” Was all she said before the line was disconnected.
Once she was further in the parking lot, definitely far away from any of the students, she started to get nervous that perhaps she should go to the office to claim she was feeling sick to get permission to leave so she wouldn’t get in trouble. But before she could turn around, she could see Victoria jogging to her from the edge of the woods. Giving a brief glance behind her, she saw a few students were looking at her and then pointing out the redhead emerging from the woods. They were all probably wondering what the new kid was doing with a stranger walking out of the woods like the beginning of a horror story.
“Come, I got a message from their psychic and you are definitely not safe here.” Victoria said as she wrapped her arm around my shoulders. “The Cullen’s can’t up and leave because of their story they’ve sold everyone here. But you, there’s nothing wrong with walking into the forest with a hot woman and disappearing.” Victoria said as she picked up Bella and started to carry her bridal style. She knew there were people watching her and Bella and the more people saw strange behavior including a new student wondering off into the forest with a stranger no one recognized, eventually Bella’s disappearance would be forgotten and written off as a troubled teen running off to do what she wanted instead of living with her police chief father. It didn’t matter that Bella’s previous behavior wouldn’t align with the assumptions. Humans were gullible enough to believe anything when enough people claimed it to be true.
“I’m taking you to Italy. We’ll spend some time their until I can change you and then until you have control and then, we’ll travel all over Europe. But you won’t be back here for at least a hundred years or more.” Victoria told her mate. This wasn’t the way Victoria wanted to introduce her mate to her friends in Italy, but this was the safest route to take Bella when she met the vampire who would crave her blood for as long as Bella lived. The fact Edward didn’t kill his singer on sight was commendable but she wasn’t going to risk the vampire deciding Bella was fair game and coming after her.
“I’ll do whatever you want as long as I get to keep you.” Bella said. She would miss Charlie, especially after the bonding they had just done in total Hollywood movie fashion before disaster. But she would move on. She believed she would miss the concept of having a dad more than the man himself since she really didn’t know him that well. And Renee, well, Bella was happy she wouldn’t have to deal with any of her hour long, self-absorbed conversations.
“Thankyou.” Victoria said, thankful her mate understood.
Bella would spend the rest of her human days in Voltera, both women opting to turn Bella after she was physically a legal adult and closer to Victoria’s age. The Cullen’s left the Forks area as soon as they were able to and not arouse suspicion about their connection to Bella’s disappearance. Bella’s disappearance was written off as an upset teen being overwhelmed and running to stranger and likely having been either killed by the redhead somewhere in the forest or killed by wild animals. Charlie never gave up looking but he also never found any trace of her. Bella and Victoria were able to get away without fear of Edward hunting Bella down in the Volturi stronghold and then eventually they were able to live their own lives happily as nomads exploring the world and watching as humanity grew.
