Ban Together Chapter 18

Bella’s talk with her dad was relatively quick. They had talked about where she was and what she was doing there. He was disappointed of course that she had left without saying anything, that part stung a little for Bella. But since she was eighteen, there wasn’t much he could do about it. He could threaten to kick her out of the house if she didn’t go back and then never do something like that again, but he would never do something like that to Bella. But he wasn’t above making her feel guilty about leaving him in the dark and making him worry so much about her disappearance, that in his eyes, could have easily been told to him before hand and avoided all his worry.

Sulpicia was even proud to say that she was able to give her daughter some advice on what to tell her father when he was asking for too specific information that they hadn’t come up with. The thankful smiles her daughter gave her was something Sulpicia found that she actually lived for now. Just knowing that she was helping her daughter, regardless of how little and inconsequential the help was, just being able to provide filled Sulpicia with a warmth she hadn’t known she was lacking before.

The talk didn’t take nearly as long as the two queens thought it would have. They had both thought that Bella would end up spending at least an easy hour explaining why she was in Italy and why she would be moving the so suddenly. It did help that she explained that some of her friends from the ‘Rez’ would be going there as well on invite from Bella, but even so, if it were the queens, they would have demanded a lot more information than Charlie did and would require her to go home. They wouldn’t just let their daughter get away with such little information; but that’s okay, it’s in their favor now. His lack of intrusion on his daughter’s life was their gain.

Once that call was over, with Charlie ensuring Bella that he would follow up with the Clearwater’s and Billy, apparently the parents of the people that were coming over. Bella also promised to keep her father up to date on what she was doing and try to get back to visit. Bella had been easily able to convince him to let her finish classes online. That was another concern of Athenodora’s and Sulpicia’s, but they kept their mouths shut as everything they were upset about was working in their favor to keep their daughter. As much as they were annoyed that it seemed like her biological father wasn’t trying hard enough to keep his daughter, that worked for their benefit and they wouldn’t argue about it.

Once they were done talking with Charlie, they escorted their daughter to the throne room where they were to receive Emmett and Rosalie. The two were being kept in a waiting room, near the cells just in case, while everyone gathered. Kate and her sister’s had taken the time to have a quick hunt and were just getting back. Jane was already in the throne room with the other high-ranking guards waiting for the queens to start the meeting with the two Cullen’s. It would be a quick meeting as Sulpicia would use her gift on both of them and then would get all the answer’s everyone needed and wanted. Athenodora was hoping that they would know a lot of what was happening with Carlisle and would give them a better answer to what Carlisle and Victoria were up to.

“Hey Jane.” Bella greeted as she walked straight towards the blonde and her brother, completely ignoring the fact that her parents were trying to get her to go towards the thrones where they wanted to present their daughter with them together, but their daughter had other plans. She walked straight to Jane, happy to see one of the blondes.

“Hello Bella.” Jane said, doing her best to keep to her stoic nature, only allowing a small smile to slip her mask from being happy to see her mate. “Did your phone call according to plan?” Jane asked with a slight tilt to her head that Bella loved to see on the blonde.

“Yup, my dad is cool with it; or as okay as he can be considering I’m already here.” Bella said as she gave the blonde a hug in greeting, one which Jane gladly reciprocated.

“Hey, don’t I get a hug too?” Kate bellowed as she and her sisters walked into the room, fresh from their hunt. “I would love a hug in greeting.” Kate said as she held out her arms wide as she sped walked towards her mate, completely expecting the same treatment as Jane received.

“You would like that, wouldn’t you creeper?” Bella asked with a teasing smile as she moved to stand next to Jane and her twin.

Kate immediately halted in her quick steps towards her mate, a completely shocked look on her face, “Yes, yes I would?” She asked, unsure of her answer. “Can I have a hug?” She added as she waved her arms a little, hoping that just asking for one would give her a hug.

“Do you promise to keep your hands to yourself?” Bella asked, amused at how Kate squirmed with the question. She didn’t even need to look towards Jane to know the blonde Witch Twin was more than amused with her questioning of Kate.

“It’s a hug! I literally can’t keep my hands to myself.” Kate said in defense, “Not that I would want to.” She muttered, just loud enough for her mate to hear.

“I knew it!” Bella said, “You creeper.” Bella said as Kate lowered her arms and frowned at her mate, predicting she wouldn’t be able to get the same hug Jane got. “Come here.” Bella said as she opened her arms to hug Kate as well. “You’re lucky you’re cute.” She muttered as Kate literally crashed into her.

“I’m the hottest woman you’ll ever see.” Kate said, very mindful of her wondering hands herself since her mother’s and aunt were literally staring her down. “Nice to see you Jane.” Kate said as she stood on Bella’s other side, sandwiching their between them for when the Cullen’s were brought in to make sure they didn’t do anything reckless like trying to attack Bella.

“More like the cockiest woman I’ve ever seen.” Bella muttered, happy to feel Kate’s arm wrap around her waist and to feel Jane’s strong presence pressed against her.

“You could at least pretend to contain yourself.” Irina muttered as she and Tanya stood on Kate’s other side. While they were on the hunt, they had called for Carmen and Eleazar to meet them in Italy, with Victoria in Europe, they not only wanted their whole coven there to stand with the Volturi against whatever Victoria did, but more importantly they didn’t want their two final members caught off guard and alone if the rest of the Cullen’s decided to attack them. It would be safer for them all to be together.

“Well, now that everyone is here, we can welcome our visitors.” Sulpicia said as the queens all stood in front of their respective thrones. The queen wanted to call her daughter to stand with them, but she figured it would be safer to leave Bella where she was, in front of the guards and interspersed with the other older vampires. “Go fetch them Felix, Demetri.” She ordered as they all stared at the doors the four vampires would be coming back.

“Are you worried Bella?” Kate asked, more than aware of the connection she had once had with the Cullen’s. She was worried that Bella would either break down in cry from sadness from her abandonment or get extreme anger from the same thing.

“There is nothing for her to be worried about.” Jane assured them both, she was confident her mate would be fine.

“No, I’m not worried.” Truthfully though, Bella was kind of worried about what answers she would get. She was already planning on asking the queens for Bella to ask Rosalie and Emmett their side of what happened and she was kind of afraid of the answers she would get.

Just as soon as the words were out of Bella’s mouth were the four vampires walking through the doors. Rosalie and Emmett in between the two guards.

Sulpicia was about to talk to greet her guests that may very well be her soon-to-be prisoners, but her long time sister took over.

“It cannot be.” Didyme said as she took a few steps forwards, in complete shock at what had happened.

“What is it sister?” Athenodora asked, preparing herself to attack if need be.

Rosalie froze just a few feet into the room, Emmett had moved a few steps in front of her before realizing that he was walking alone. “Rosalie?” He softly questioned as he looked back at her, concerned about the shocked look on her face that had a hint of fear.

“I have found my mate.” Didyme said, unsure if she should be rejoicing at her find, or mourning as who it was and the fact that they were wanted by her own people.
