The FINAL Ginnie Springs Memorial Day weekend party – my 6th year attending this epic event. Each year has been better than the last, but this year things took a different turn. New rules led to fewer people, and unfortunately, the weekend was marred by increased violence. Three separate altercations caused the gates to shut mid-weekend, preventing any new arrivals.
Despite the chaos, and lack of people, Sunday night turned into a more intimate experience with only 5% of the usual crowd. Although I missed some of the chaos, I'm grateful to have been part of the last Ginnie Springs Memorial Day weekend party.
