He said he'd take her home and set the date for Christmas eve. That's why it picked up like that. It was easy to miss that one. Welcome to David Tenant's era of the show. I think you'll enjoy the evolution of the Rose/Doctor relationship. So fun hair fact, Billie actually did have a different hair style. She had her hair cut shorter than usual not realizing the episode was supposed to pick up immediately after the series 1 finale, so they had to put her in hair extensions for this episode.
