Memory lane sketch #5: Fangrai

No but for real, what a dream come true. Heckers yeah. This is Fang and Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII, specifically the second sequel "FFXIII: Lightning Returns" in which Lightning returns π lol anyway. I have so many feelings about these games and most of them are very stupid, but I just really liked the vibes these two had. Lightning (the pink haired one) is a little younger and kinda coolly tempestuous while Fang is a lil bit older and much more self assured and both of them have pretty clear "big sister" roles and I just. ππ In the first game, they come with pre-assigned roles (or classes), and both of them have the "Commando" role but it just feels like Lightning is making herself fit into it while Fang just is it. And I do feel a certain particular way about switching. I JUST. DO I NEED TO SAY MORE? Probably. It's like a fever dream.
Anyway, I really love how this turned out π¦π I hope you do too! even if you don't have any specific relation to the characters π
