Added 2020-12-08 08:00:02 +0000 UTCYves Bourgelas is a comic book artist from Rouyn-Noranda, Abitibi-Témiscamingue (Québec, Canada). Fascinated by cartoons since his childhood, he dedicated his post-secondary education to 2D Animation in Quebec City, then Comic Arts in Gatineau. A freelancer illustrator, Yves also developped Supercrash, his youth comic book series. Two books are available, Hero by Chance and Double Identities, the latter having been published in 2017.
For 12 days of Patreon, he is sharing a PDF of “Supercrash book 1 : Hero By Chance”, in both French and English.
Newcomers to Yves’s Patreon page will have early access to his current work, a fan comic called “The 3 Little Princesses” set in the Super Mario Bros. universe. Another perk is the possibility of having their ideas sketched live on Twitch, where he draws his patrons’ suggestion at the beginning of all of his art streams. In addition, a special 10% reduction code is given to all patrons for his online shop.
Jay’s Note: Yves work is extremely cute playing with a lot of the tropes of comics.The attempts of a young superhero bumbling through learning the ropes is very endearing.
