This is especially true after my recent experience on social media, where I started getting more attention just by being myself.
I started an IT bootcamp back in March, which involved an 8-hour class a day plus homework and studying, so I didn't have time for cosplay. I began posting selfies as "filler" content during this cosplay drought, but then I started getting a lot of attention from the goofy videos I was making about my hair and other things. I was genuinely surprised that people liked who I am out of cosplay! So, I guess people wouldn't complain about seeing me out of cosplay on a cosplay page.
