Floppy disk stacks are working fine. Of course, there are still some small technical issues to fix in future, but it's not critical and it's pretty much enough to start making videos with it..
The protection circuits turned out to be working very well. A small fraction of the (quite old, 20 to 35-year old) drives fail within first hours of use after spending years in storage. About 10 of the drives has failed - shorted capacitors, resistors,, etc. and no fire! I have mounted the circuits and drive stacks on the 3D-printed base plates. Not a reliable solution, as the stack is not super-stable with flexing plastic base, but that will do for now.
Scanners are also working OK. I am still 3D-printing some parts to finish the assembly, but more on that in the next update.
