New Cover: Metallica - Master of Puppets
Added 2023-03-31 18:04:30 +0000 UTCI have finally completed another cover after a break due to personal issues. This one has been waiting for a long time in my queue. It's a good fit for a new 3.0 setup, as there are 2 guitars which can be allocated on 2 4-stack blocks of FDDs. There's also a couple of drum rolls to show what the new setup can do. This is also the longest track so far which took mi around 2 weeks to prepare and make it sound good (and accurate) enough in a couple of iterations. I think it's the best sounding track so far, but I might be a little biased after a couple of hours of editing ;). What do you think?
And as usual, I'll edit the video over the weekend and post it on YT when it's ready.

I hope you didn't have to use the fire extinguisher too many times. :) I love the wiggly "guitar" that starts at ~0:52, the "drums" are great, and the crunchy solos really sell the song. As for potential issues, at 1:30-1:45 and a few more times later on, the bass riff seems to have the wrong chord progression (going down instead of up... not enough music knowledge to know how to describe it properly), at least compared to the King Diamond MIDI version (which, AFAICT, is your reference here -- and as a computer nerd, the only version I've listened to regularly). That's the only bit that takes me out of it. I could be wrong and would be fine to admit it. Otherwise, this is quite a banger!
