Part II The Broken

Chapter I The Abyss of Eternal Darkness

We all know Jimmy, that addict with the weird blinking of the eyes who’s obsessed with the Pop Rocks candy, and a speech pattern that some can barely understand when he talks. Well in this story we focus on Jimmy’s day to day life and how he became this way. Let’s start from the beginning shall we? Jimmy’s real name is Jiminiel, a demon who was created by Sirilous the Devil the God of the Abyss of Eternal Darkness.

In the Abyss all demons are classified from Elite to Peasant in the hierarchy. The Elite being the most hated, envied, feared, and respected by the lower class. These elites have a hierarchy that is divided by ranks. The highest rank attainable in the elites with only one position available is Commander-in-Chief, in this position he is deemed the most dominant in the Abyss and controls all the other demons and factions, following the commander are the Demi Devils, the most ruthless and cunning of all demons ranked as Generals. Next are the Calamities, these demons wreak terror and fear by their mere presence. Last of the elite ranks are the Fallen. These are the only demons who have no wings. They used to have angelic wings until their banishment from Heaven. They use their human-like appearance of beauty to deceive and manipulate their prey.

In the middle of the Elite and peasants are the Nine Virtues. In this class only females are chosen. Each of them possess a unique virtue that no demon can acquire or learn. The virtues are Acceptance, Courage, Fairness, Honesty, Restraint, Beauty, Loyalty, Grace, and Justice. Any being who has ill feelings, sinned, and has committed the opposite of what virtues represent are powered rendless in their presence unable to move. Their power is bestowed upon them by Sirilous himself. These Virtues only answer to him and to him alone. If Sirilous’s presence in the Abyss is ever absent the Virtues become erratic, wild, and destructive. The power they contain can not be controlled by their own will. Sirilous not only blessed them with a taste of his power but also cursed them.

The lower class are referred to as peasants or grunts. They are the armies of the abyss that are under the control of the elites corresponding to a specific territory each of them possesses. All demons follow one simple rule in order to become stronger. The more immoral the demon, the more powerful it becomes.
