Each days after the next were a blessing. Even the stray cat, once wary of Eva, have finally chose to follow her home. Cleaning up the kitty, Eva presented her new pet to her sister, but Cynthia merely joked, “Is that something to be eaten?”

The cat was startled by that remark, and struggled in Eva’s grasp. “Oh! Now look what you’ve done,” Eva scolded her lightly, but inwardly she was pleased to get a reaction from her sister. Like with the cat, patience and kindness will finally win her over. Still the cat seems to dislike Cynthia, so she’ll keep it away from her sister’s room.

As the days went on, Cynthia began to slowly open up. Whatever trauma that caused her accident seemed to have healed, but she was still wary and reclusive. Eva have her friends over for tea one day, sharing gossip over a freshly baked cherry pie.

It’s sweet scent spread easily in Eva’s small apartment, eventually enticing Cynthia to come out from her room. Her longing gaze at the pie didn’t escape Eva’s notice, so she sliced out a piece for her. Cynthia was touched, Eva’s unconditional love finally breaking through to her.

John was feeling lucky, his third date with Eva was going on smoothly, reaching the door to her apartment at last. Their relationship has been progressing well, the young couple finding much in common with each other.

Deciding to press his luck, John asked Eva whether he could come in and continue their conversation, perhaps sharing a drink. Eva blushed, it was fun going out with John, but she was still uncertain with having a man coming into her apartment.

A sudden chill went down his spine, John noticed someone looking at him intently behind Eva. Eva did mention that she has a sister, and that sister is now locking her gaze at him. *STAY AWAY FROM MY EVA!* The signal was clear as day, making John change his mind.

“Perhaps next time, then,” John answered his own question, “It’s getting late, anyway, Good night!”. John shook hands with Eva, then waved a friendly goodbye towards her sister, better get on her good side too.
