The chief scientist onboard the ISSV (International Space Station 5), Canadian born Maya Boscht, was giddy as her Workpad pinged, confirming the docking of the remote drone.
The long range reconnaissance drone had picked up an anomaly in the deep reaches of space. Preliminary inspection showed the object to be of extra-terrestrial in origin, though there's no way to confirm until they bring it back into the station's lab.
Though the lab was specialized to study cybernetics in zero-G environments, Maya had quickly modified it to enable her to perform detailed analysis of the foreign object. The drone was docked onto a specialized port right next to the lab. To avoid any risk of contamination, the lab has been sealed from the rest of the station.
Maya tapped her feet impatiently as the drone cycles through the docking procedure, it's cargo hold latched onto the airlock. Then, just before it reached the final step, an error beeped: Something is jamming the door.
Artist's Note:
Something different for this month's pin-up, an OC created by your comments!
Maya here will be subjected to a TF of your choice, do suggest what kind of TF here or in Discord, and we'll open a poll in mid-September to vote on it.
