When we were brainstorming for the name of the comic, there were a few options but "Variants" came out at the top. Of course, calling a comic "Variant" or "Variants" will likely get lost in a Google search as the term "variant comics" has a more established meaning. Thus, we went for "Variant-S", with the "S" standing for symbiote. Hopefully, that makes it sufficiently unique.

On the design, the large V at the back is also a callback to Venom, the origin of the symbiote trope and stories. Volume 1, being the origin to both Tyler/Tylix and Cynthia/Cynaith, and their subsequent conflict, shows them prominently in the middle, flanked by their respective supporting characters.

The "revealing strip" hints at their inner nature, with Tyler being mostly human while Cynaith is mostly alien. There was a slight positioning mistake as I would prefer Cynthia's eye to be fully within the strip, but I would had to redraw Cynaith again if I wanted to shift.

Anyways, it's been an honour to reach this stage. Looking back, it's been a long and unexpected trip, starting from April 2017(!) with a symbiote comic request. Thank you to my fans for being patient with the slow posts and long breaks, and also thank you to Kraid, who's help is invaluable in taking the comics up to the next level. With your support, we'll keep working on the comic. Onwards to Vol 2!
