Commissioner Wilson was waiting at the entrance for his long missing officer, and was confused when the paramedics moved her towards the FBI truck.
“What’s the meaning of this?”, he demanded, striding towards the agent. “Where are you taking her!”
“Commissioner Wilson,” the agent answered coolly, “This patient is to be transferred to a special facility, it’s already been cleared at the office.”
“I’ve heard nothing of that sort,” Wilson replied, “and this is highly irregular, she should be checked in to the hospital first.”
“With all due respect,” the agent said in a tone that showed none, “I have my orders, if you intend to impede them, you’ll be hearing from Director Jenkins,”
“Don’t bother,” Wilson shot back, “I’ll call him myself,”
The two men locked their gaze, looking to see who would back off first. But the tension was broken when a small red-headed nurse burst through between them, and flung herself onto Tyler.
Alex had waited impatiently for the arrival of her long lost friend. When the ambulance have arrived and yet she didn’t appear, Alex went out herself to look for her.
Shocked at her pale state, Alex called out to her, even as her hands automatically reached out to her wrists and temple, reading her pulse and temperature. Tyler, who was already disturbed at the commotion, woke up at Alex’s touch.
“Hey there, sport,” she called out weakly, to which Alex responded by smothering her in a tearfully tight hug.
The agent was reporting the situation into his headset, but his attention was taken when the strike force, the one sent tracking the alien, reported in.
The connection was fuzzy due to the distance, but the three men team reported going into a seaside cave. Then chaos erupted when they suddenly shouted, “Hostiles detected!” followed by rapid gunfire.
