Tyler’s struggle didn’t went unnoticed by the police, the halt of the shooting plus the lone gunshot after that. Rick and his men cautiously came up from their covers, then quickly made a run towards the warehouse when it was clear the gunner is down.

By the time they reached the gunner’s room, they only found the two criminals knocked out and tied up. As Rick went to grab the gunner upright, he woke up, and started to babble about a black-skinned monster.

Rick sighed, It seems the Black Devil has struck again.

For the past few weeks, there has been reports of a vigilante, wearing a black costume, catching criminals and busting crime operations. Various reports mentioned she has sharp teeth, claws and tentacles, but that was probably exaggerated by the criminals. Either way, she was soon called the Black Devil among the criminals.

Personally, Rick was happy with the vigilante’s help (like today), but the chief had put an order to detain her if possible.

With the criminals safely cuffed and lead out, the press came across the safe zone and began to buzz around the entourage. The gunner’s continuous loud remark about the black monster obviously caught their attention, and now Rick has to answer to the chatty news reporter about the latest news on the Black Devil.

From the back, Tyler drove her police car forward to take the criminals. Ever since her kidnapping ordeal, Tyler had taken a step back from the action, citing she still needs some time to recover. Nonetheless, her spirits seemed to have improved, giving Rick a thumbs up as she helps to move the criminals into the car.

Throughout the event, Teressa, a lone reporter, was taking photos for her tabloid paper. She has been following (and searching for) the Black Devil ever since news of it came out. There’s something big behind it, she mused. Her sixth sense (which she called her nose for a good scoop) was tingling every time such a news occurred, and she’s determined to get to the bottom of it.
