Being an exclusive, it means some of the info revealed here will be hidden from the public until much later, so do help to avoid spilling out any spoilers in the future.
P. S.: "Jane & Todd" will now be posted at the same pace over on my DevArt (with the naughty bits censored). This chapter will also eventually be made public, but much, much later.
And now to the story:
Eva gingerly placed the small handkerchief full of Kitten Kibbles near the sleeping cat, the noise (and smell) waking up the wary creature.
A few weeks ago, the cat had appeared in the alleyway used by Eva as a shortcut between her apartment and her workplace. Since then, Eva had spent part of her morning ritual to feed the stray.
At first, the cautious cat would run off the moment Eva approaches, coming back only when Eva have left the food and continued her way. By now, it'll wait at the same spot every morning for Eva, but still avoids her when she gets too close.
"No matter, little friend," Eva thought, "We'll do this at your pace,"
