Added 2020-08-09 07:38:28 +0000 UTCTyler was intent on loading the flare gun when the boat suddenly lurched. Someone had climbed onboard. Before she could react, Cynaith already rushed into the cabin, claws extended for an attack.
Tyler dodged back,a claw whistling past where her head would be. Caught on the defensive, Tyler could only step back as Cynaith followed up with another swipe from her left, this time barely missing her neck.
The boat cabin, however, was no place to maneuver, and Cynaith pressed on with her advantage, shifting her left arm to press into Tyler's neck, slamming her up against the wall.
Face to face with her adversary, Cynaith's rage was palpable to Tyler's psychic sense, so much so that Tyler's mental attack merely bounced off that wall of hatred. Throughout the struggle, Tyler have reflexively loaded the flare gun, but as Cynaith pushed her up, her right arm was held back, the gun pointed away from Cynaith.
As Cynaith pressed on with her choke hold, seemingly trying to snap off her neck, Tyler felt her options quickly plummeting. "Fuck it", she thought, squeezing her eyes shut, and fired the flare gun.
Artist's Note:
Cynaith may have learned her lesson on guns at point blank, but this gun shoots different.
