Tyler was tense as she saw the alien who was responsible for her predicament. Cynaith stood with an air of lethal grace, but Tylix was not afraid, reaching out with her hand.

As the alien grasps the offered hand, a flood of thoughts and images entered their mind, Cynaith was speaking to them telepathically.

* Cynaith is glad that Tylix had come. She had been mentally calling for her, but did not expect her mental sense to develop so soon. *

At the acceptance of their master, Cynaith's two Spawns lowered their guard and sauntered off into the cavern. Cynaith grabbed Tylix by the shoulders and lead her further into her lair.

* Tylix may be young, but will soon grow into a splendid Queen. Then, we shall take over this world together! Come, I will teach you the ways of our kind ~ *

(cue upbeat training montage music)

Throughout the next week, Tylix spend her days living and training with Cynaith. Apart from the physical exercises, Cynaith also thought her on her mental abilities: Telepathic communication, commanding her Spawn, mental attacks and defense. Food was regularly brought by her Spawns, who went out to hunt for fishes and other seafood. At night (day?), they rested and slept in the cavern's pool. 

All the while, Tyler kept her presence hidden, her police instincts taking notes on Cynaith's actions and behaviors. Cynaith's lair was simple and spartan, but one chamber was filled with human trash and knick-knacks. Sometimes Cynaith could be seen taking an item to figure out how it works. She would sometime asks Tylix, but Tyler would block the knowledge if it's important, feigning ignorance.

As Tyler learns more about Cynaith, a rudimentary plan against her begins to form...
