Rin calls out in alarm, but the creature quickly sped off with it's prey.
In these few weeks, Tyler has resigned her fate as one no longer in control of her own body. The "creature", Tylix, that now inhabits her flesh has a mind of its own: simple and feral. Tyler now experiences what Tylix does in a dreamlike state, the physical senses dulled but the mental thoughts are clear.
Through trial and error, Tyler found that she could influence, and sometimes even communicate with the thoughts of Tylix. When Tylix craved for meat and sought after humans, Tyler threw in her mental weight and persuaded Tylix against eating humans. They still have to eat though, so Tyler leads Tylix to scavenge for food instead.
Tylix have no qualms eating half rotten food, and even rats. Her new body could take them without harm, but Tyler is thankful her senses are dulled when Tylix feeds.
Tyler guides the young creature away from humans as much as possible, sleeping in alleyways or rooftops during the day and foraging only at night. On a rainy night, Tyler "converses" with Tylix, exchanging their thoughts.
Tyler asked about Tylix's origins, where it replied with a mental image of Cynaith. The image triggered Tyler's memory at the Docks, remembering everything now that the memory is no longer blocked. Tyler bombarded Tylix with more questions about Cynaith, but it was tired. When asked where Cynaith is, it merely pointed in a general direction. Tyler sensed a faint "mental tug" in that direction. but Tylix wanted to sleep.
She'll get to the bottom of this, starting tomorrow.
Artist's Note:
Bait and switch! It's not Rin's turn ... yet.
Lots of story content in a page, but I'm fast forwarding this part till we reach more action or TF scenes.
