Starcadian's music has been everything to me ever since I first heard it some twelve or so years ago. It's influenced every aspect of my imagination, and though the stuff I do may be entirely unrelated, it's a still a place where I go to try and re-center myself when shit feels bleak and I can't get my hands to make anything worthwhile.

I learned last night that he was killed in a pretty tragic traffic accident while riding his e-bike in NYC. He was super excited about his new album that he's been working on, and hours later it's still breaking my heart to know that he'll never get to finish it.

I always have his music playing on my streams, but if you're unfamiliar, do yourself a favor and go acquaint yourself with it. Even if you don't really care for synthwave, I feel like his stuff transcends it, to a whole category of imagination and storytelling all its own.

Interspace in particular got me through a lot of really rough patches.

I wish I had the time to do a proper tribute artwork. I may still try anyway. I just have a lot going on but I wanted to take a few moments out and make a post that wasn't just me screaming into the void on socials.
