General update+Social media stuff

Hello everyone! I hope you're doing well.

I had my appointment with the orthopedic clinic, and received mixed news. The good news is - it's not carpal tunnel syndrome! My doctor bent my wrist into improbable positions, and seemed very surprised that I experienced no discomfort - confusing doctors is a fun side-bonus when you have hypermobility - but confirmed that since my fingers did not go numb in those positions, it's not carpal tunnel.

It is most likely a strain injury. Unfortunately, his recommendation for treatment was mostly a shrug and a suggestion I switch work-tasks - which is, uh. not possible. So my next task is to see a physio-therapist and see if they have more solid advice to go on. That might take a while, but I'll be making an appointment.

In the meantime, I'm switching between resting and trying to train my hand to build back some muscle-strength, and I'll be switching to a vertical mouse to give my wrist a break, and we'll see how that goes.

I'm also working on answering the Q&A questions, and will be posting them in the next few days - if you've got any questions for me, now is the time to throw them at me.

Social media matters
Regarding the possible imminent collapse of Twitter - I will be there til the place sinks, and will be one of the last rats off the ship. But just in case it DOES fall to pieces, and you want to keep up to date with what I do in between Patreon-posts, you can find me in some of the following places:

Mastodon.Art
The most Twitter-like replacement. Looks similar, and my posts there will be the most Twitter-like. Art, general life chatter, photos of my cat.

Tumblr
My most ancient social media, which I never really left. Art-posts, release announcements for things, the occasional text-post.

Itchio
My ttrpg (and artbook) storefront. With the implementation of Itchio's new blog-like Posts, I will probably be doing some ttrpg development posts over there, newsletter-style - so if that is what you're here for, that's a good place to keep an eye on.

Cohost
Cohost is fairly new, and I'm not sure what I'm doing there yet - but it's like a Tumblr, if Tumblr had a functioning comment-system. Once they've sorted out their ToS revisions, it's likely going to be a place where I post art, and more text-heavy ramblings that are too long for Mastodon. Expect only the hottest opinions on media released before several of you were born.

Pillowfort
Pillowfort is likely going to end up being similar to my Cohost account in terms of content, but probably with a heavier emphasis on art. I'm still figuring it out, and haven't posted anything yet - but it has strong Livejournal vibes.

Artstation
Irregularly updated, but there for portfolio-purposes. Not really a social-media hub at all, but worth linking here anyway.

I will be updating my main Patreon-presentation text with these links at some point soon, but for now, here they are.
