2024-04-13 03:24:05 +0000 UTCThe difference between Wemby and those other guys is the way he takes care of his body. Viktor is more like Kareem and Chamberlain than those other lumbering bigs. Wemby, like Kareem, has been working on his flexibility. Kareem said that was the thing that allowed him to play so long was the fact that he did Yoga. Yao, Bradley, Bol, etc…those guys weren’t athletic nor could they move all that well. Vik has nothing in common with them besides height. Vik, like any player, can of course suffer an injury but I don’t think it’s going to be a concern for him. Viktor is only a rookie so of course you can force him into uncomfortable situations. When he learns the game, the floor, different defense, different player tendencies, coach tendencies, that’s going to go away. I’d give him about 4 years and then he’ll be unstoppable. I can’t wait to see Wemby with a refined game.

Someone that could arguably be the greatest but injuries will potentially rob him of ever getting to that spot cause ask yourself this how many guys do you know that’s that tall and has ever had a long career and was impactful enough for people to say that’s the greatest. Usually guys that tall are normally shot blockers strictly Maunte Bol Shawn Bradley comes to mind and again the last person that tall to come into the league and have an impact is again Yao Ming and injuries again derailed his entire career so for victor wembenyama to come into the leaugr and not even play a game that’s close to the rim but his game has a lot of explosion when it comes to his knees. People gotta understand and Judah even said this and it makes sense the moves you do have to fit your body cause that’s the foundation of your game. MJ had big hands and small feet at 6’6 so he had the ability to perform those acrobatic balletic move set and not suffer an injury of cataclysmic proportions cause MJ game matched his body and again with that skill set that Vic has dribbling that’s the equivalent of in baseball when MJ was playing the batter box would be huge same with dribbling if someone smaller than Vic guarding him out on the perimeter that seems like an easy steal especially if they’re physical with him and people constantly say he’s been playing against grown men his entire career all the while they’re down playing the current group of nba players saying that he shouldn’t be affected by what y’all got cause y’all physically is on par with those guys over seas but I can very much so seeing someone literally getting Vic off his spot and what he likes to do nice jump shot though but Vic has got to get stronger but I say wait until year 5 to see if Vic is the real deal in terms of being around long enough for us to get a good understanding of his career. Currently Vic is taking a lot of people by storm but let’s see come next year cause there’s ways to mitigate Vic and get him into uncomfortable positions where he’s not set and will have to take a shot he’s not comfortable with and getting into sequences and progression left he’s not accustomed to yet in the nba so let’s see next year especially if the spurs can get a and or develop a one of Rodmans sons Jeremy Shuhan the other being Vanderbuilt and the other being the man off the pistons Thompson ironically Asuar Thompson and Schuhan plays for the pistons. And we all knaw asuar/osiris and Schumann wear number 10 just like Dennis and has the dual dyed hair style like him too so who knows just interesting the connection. But the spurs could have something special fluid their able to develop right only you need a wing scorer and a good playmaker for a pg that can be also a 3 and D player anlonzo ball wouldn’t be bad for them and also a rebounding pf pf that can grab boards and be a shot blocker of sorts don’t think a Clint capela would be good for them but coming oof the bench I can see it but a scrappy rebounder that can shoot that can be a Kevin love type for them klove on the cavs. And a good physical screener and physical player that got good foot speed that.can put consistent and constant pressure on the a jarred Allen Deandre Jordan comes to mind
