Are The Nuggets The ''New Warriors''?

Are The Nuggets The ''New Warriors''?

Comments

Hey Peace, back from the future and they just blew up the coaching staff and front office and murray can't stay healthy smh

Julian

Sadly I think it's over. Braun and Reggie Jackson's combined output were unable to make up what Bruce Brown brought. Brown was sorely missed, especially given how up and down KCP and MPJ were shooting the ball. And there was no contingency plan whatsoever for Jokic's backup. They let Jeff Green go and said fuck it smh. It was too bad they blew it vs the Wolves. I would've picked them to beat the Mavs in 6 or 7, and I believe they were the team out of the West that had the best chance of beating the Celtics. The Celtics appear to be the new Warriors. Unfortunately. They're built similar to the Warriors in terms of all their tall versatile players. And similarly to the Warriors I think teams are going to overlook a lot of the nuanced offensive and defensive tactics the Celtics use and just jack up a bunch of 3s like how the Celtics do. They'll have to replace Horford and Holiday soon, but with Brown, Tatum, and White they appear to be the team to beat in the East. Other than Milwaukee or maybe Miami standing in their way, the Celtics will probably make the Finals again. The Nuggets have lost KCP and acquired Westbrook lol. They're gonna need some big production from their young players to support the starters. And with Murray he's a knee tweak away from being done. Last season was such a blown opportunity. But we'll see if they can pull it off this season.

Too Legit

Absolutely! Very spursesque the way their offense is ran! But they’re in a tough one this round against the wolves. AntMan a big big problem!

Jonathan

The funny part is that The Nuggets are playing an old school style of basketball that NBA fans are swearing is outdated. They mostly attack the paint. Jokic posts up a lot like a traditional big man. They're above average from mid-range. They move the ball around, take limited dribbles, and play in an equal opportunity offense.

X-man

Yup COJ was right

FallacyUnknown

Fast forward a year later now they’re on the verge of sweeping LeBron and lakers for a second straight season! 😂

Jonathan

would've loved to see that spurs warriors series without the zaza kawhi incident at the start of the durant warriors era. that was a nasty start to the series and at that point I am not sure how much mental fortitude these new look warriors had. considering both curry and durant came from choke jobs in the previous playoffs and did not have any true confidence buildup. while kawhi can be the perfect nemesis for a team without mentally strong superstars

Madness

It'll be interesting to see what your thoughts would be on the Stephen A Smith vs Jason Whitlock interwebs beef.

The Beautiful Struggle

Andre Johnson was ELITE but Joe was never on the LeBron, Kobe, KD, Curry level. Im talking about ELITE athletes. Top 5-10 players that get all the shine.

Moses

Ima take Murray over Booker

Melo Aji

One news report is quoted, "A little destiny plays a big role" by his agent.

Raw Tasian

“Analyze that” is definitely a cooky movie 😂

Kaylon

Not all elite athletes many of them but not all for example an andre Johnson in football or a joe Johnson in basketball

John Davis

To be fair fultz looked legit in college had he not tore up his shoulder tryin ride on motorcycles then lied to the team about it he could have been that missing piece next to simmons

John Davis

I just googled it & saw it. Seems like all these Elite athletes are plants from youth. In chronicles videos he talks about these guys having scripts. They won this bc it was apart of their script or he he joined this team or he blew this game on purpose bc that his script. Im not saying we shouldn’t watch pro sports anymore.. but what’s the point of him breaking down 45 minute videos & naming top 10 all time greats, debating who’s better in different sports if it’s all scripted? It’s almost akin to debating on who was the best WWE wrestler all time? When everyone knows the matches are scripted.

Moses

Agreed. He could have not won again in Toronto and his legacy would have been cemented.

Naw he's not winning a chip in June, maybe next year or following seaons in one of the in season tournaments 😂, he will break down body wise soon. they're best chance was when they had Bulter.

VCR

I’m ngl your making me feel real bad for Embiid bc I dead forgot all this shit especially the pascal 😭😭😭 Philly done this guy bad smh 🤦🏿‍♂️ probably do to the pressures that city puts on it Philly ny probably the hardest places to find and develop talent bc of how we our on the east coast

Mad Max

My top 3 screw ups was 1.) Not keeping Mikal Bridges 2.) Fultz saga 3.) Passing on Pascal Siakam not once but twice for TLC and Furkan Korkmaz. 2 of the Three was during the tenure of a one Bryan Colangelo.

Clarence Price

Son Philly done messed up so many times remember they traded up for fultz lmao could you imagine Ben Mikal Tatum Maxey and Embiid on one squad good lord

Mad Max

Mikal Bridges the Villanova kid Philly drafted but traded, yea this entire 76ers saga with Embiid is looking more like what could have been and being a day late and a dollar short.

Clarence Price

Jokic was given a Nuggets sweatshirt back when he was a kid in Serbia. Worth looking up.

Pronto

I hope they win back-to-back. Because that might bring back old school basketball. Even if it doesn't, the fact that a team playing old school ball is winning will be satisfying.

X-man

Nuggets been won. Unless u mean back to back

Junie JAMES

If Nuggets had Luka they'll get pub but wouldn't win anything. The guy is hybrid of LeBron &Harden

Jeru227

I think Embiid can win a chip wit the right coach bc that kid Maxey is looking like a mini Murray type guy and Embiid dropped some weight this szn the sixers jus need a kawhi type of wing or maybe make a trade for Mikal bridges in bk that squad would be a problem

Mad Max

I don't think it necessary because Jokic is white. I think it's because he was never the player the league wanted in the first place. Cause Luka is a first round lottery pick and the league have been promoting him before he got drafted, but Jokic is a second round draft pick that no one saw coming. Both Luka and Jokic are white, but Luka gets more promotion from the league even tho Jokic is better and has more accolades then Luka. I believe if Luka was the face of Denver, a 2mvp and finals mvp his brand would be promoted to the heavens casuse he's a leauge top asset investment like LeBron, who's been promoted since high school.

Mr Sankofa

disdain? Bro the Nuggets won a easy ring. Literally defeated 3 play in teams. RIght now its hard to say who is going to be the best player for the season. So far in there has been a couple candidates as the leagues best player

Kane B

I get that Kawhi's is on your good side or something. Believe it or not hes on mine too. I just do not like to attribute events to some luck factor or lack thereof. Thats the crux of our difference of opinion. While I see your point, I just can't side with it. And our starting point is the summer of the Raptors winning the chip. So stuff about TO had a losing culture n all that is irrelevant. To this day, no member of the clippers has ever won shit besides the coach (and Norman Powell lol). Leaving the team or not. He left a team that got over the hump that 99.9% of players don't ever get over and got burned. Its just that. I guess we'll disagree on this topic. Its what it is.

Mateo Belo

Bruh, he's an NBA player, you know he's messing with the hoes on the side. In regards to him being with his family, it's more about him living in LA, having his extended family living close to him, them being able to go to LA home games as opposed to flying out to Toronto, etc. There were rumors of him wanting to come to LA even before he left the Spurs, so it seems like that stuff is important to him. And historically, other than Derozan, no NBA star chooses to stay in Toronto. NBA players just don't like being in Canada for whatever reason. And at the time, I'm sure he wasn't worried about PG being his no.2 option even after Dame embarrassed him. He had just won a title with a career playoff choker in Lowry as his no.2. If you want to say Siakam was the no.2 you could, but Pascal hadn't done anything in the league until he played with Kawhi. PG was better than both of them, & the Clippers had what seemed like a decent roster around them at the time. Nobody could've predicted Covid & his team having a collective meltdown in the bubble. After that he's had knee injuries preventing him from accomplishing anything. I see your point, but I think Kawhi's case seems to be more bad luck with injuries than it was a bad decision picking either team.

Andrew Dixon

https://youtu.be/dgm6M4uk0YE?si=8uzokeYJWOPfZt86. Dude, Kawhi cares about what the media is saying on his name. He cares. They all care when they're a superstar. And especially one who gets the kind of character assassination like he gets. About wanting to go home to his family; like Kawhi been spotted at strip clubs putting his big ol klaw on big ol booties. He can live a while without the damn family 😂. And I get it tho. I myself loathes being around people I have no interest being around with just to chit-chat about whatever. But man he plays ball and then gets to do whatever he wants almost whenever he wants. He's not at war. He can FaceTime. He went into a crazy situation with Playoff P as his 2nd in command, fresh off getting bounced in upset fashion by the wannabe Curry himself Dame Lillard with a 50pts series clinching shot in his face .... I mean damn! That whole superteam shit has almost never worked. The Heatles made it to all those finals because they were playing in the East. Imagine if they were in the West... they may have made one final if any. Only the Celtics big 3 was legit because they didn't have to trade the whole team to get Garnett and all the players game were in sync. They just got too old too fast. Going into a new situation with Paul George, not even an elite big man so their game could mesh perfectly was not smart. Just not smart. Look at Jokic. Hes quiet like Kawhi. He's even Serbian and im sure he misses his family, especially his brother. Hes not dying. Granted he didn't have the deceiving mermaid chant like Kawhi had about playing "home" but that all ties into my main point, wanting to have it all and sometimes you can't.

Mateo Belo

I agree he should've stayed in Toronto because he had the best chance to win more chips there. But when it comes down to it the man wanted to play in LA & just wasn't rocking with living in Canada. Kawhi doesn't strike me as the person who cares about the media attacking him, questioning his greatness, or being viewed as a legend forever in Toronto. He seems like he just wants to play & go home to his family. He had the chance to play at home & he took it. And the Raptors had an established culture of being losers just like the Clippers before Kawhi got there. He changed the way the Raptors were viewed as an organization when he got them their 1st chip. He could've done the same thing thing for the Clippers, but his body started breaking down. His decision is only viewed as shortsighted because the man just can't stay healthy.

Andrew Dixon

I actually this the Westbrook trade helped them. Sped them up when they needed to and gave them something of an edge that Westbrook can bring and an energy. What NEVER made sense to me was the Harden trade. That guy will torpedo your team quicker than maybe any player in the NBA. I’m a big Leonard admirer as he’s my fave player to watch, but I can’t watch the clippers with James harden. I just can’t man. His game is uglier than Lebron’s and that’s saying something

Nathaniel Smart

But thats the thing with the Clippers for the longest; What if, what if, what if. Had the man stayed in Toronto, he could have managed his injury over there with nobody ever questioning his greatness because he would have been a legend forever there. And when healthy, he could just op on a team who already had a system and an established culture, unlike the madness happening with the Clippers with crazy acquisition like Westbrook and the kardashian hoe in spirit Harden. Steve and the media wouldn't dare attack him in toronto. And thats without the mention of an elite coach in Nurse. Sometimes, you cant have it all like Kawhi wanted with living in LA. Endorsements are not missing in Toronto man. Mans was unfortunately quite shortsighted. His uncle, his teams, all of them.

Mateo Belo

I agree Kawhi should've stayed in Toronto, but his move is only looking bad now because of injuries. If he didn't tear his ACL in 2021. the Clippers probably would've won the chip that year. He was out all of 2022 & he hurt his knee again last season. He hasn't had a chance at a real playoff run outside of the bubble fiasco. I wouldn't say he wasted his career, more like injuries have ruined his career while he's been with the Clippers.

Andrew Dixon

And btw... That man Kawhi Leonard... I don't think anybody has made a worse free agent move in the history of sports coming out of that championship in Toronto. Wasted his career completely. Its beyond me how he didn't veto the Westbrook and especially Harden move on his team. I thought mans was silent because only good things were happening in his skull but hey its looking like I was pushing it. He just wanna rap on the low... Sucks for a great player like that. Lastly, imma end it with a shoutout at least. Ime Udoka is that man. Every time his team hits a mile stone, you google his name and a "omg im so hurt" Nia Long article drops lool. They cant let the "blk" man have his praise if he aint a damn docile dog. Cant make this stuff up.

Mateo Belo

Look at these niggas barely hiding their disdain towards the mention of a team lead by a caucasian player running the nba for the foreseeable future lool. Y'all better show us some actual basketball IQ and some defense out there on the floor or its gonna become y'all reality. Tfk out here with their mama boys having ass letting wnba genetics monstrosity concoctions telling them what to do and now legendary hoe Kim K making clothes for them. Where are the Men in the nba? Anthropologists still looking for them...

Mateo Belo

To add onto the Michigan State alums, Miles Bridges who just recently returned from his suspension for his DV situation. Saw him throw up the double devil horns after a Miami Pro Am game. And speaking of DV and bloodlines, Kevin Porter Jr's current DV situation is between him and his ex-gf Kysre Gondrezick, daughter of former NBA player Grant Gondrezick. Grant Gondrezick is the brother of former NBA player Glen Gondrezick (both brothers have passed away due to...let's say interesting circumstances). Kysre has a sister named Kalabrya. Kalabrya is the surviving wife of deceased NFL player Dwayne Haskins. And we know Dwayne and Kalabrya had a DV situation that ended up with Kalabrya getting arrested. Now what are the odds 2 sisters get involved with projected star pro athletes and both have a DV situation? The kicker is that Kalabrya played college basketball for Michigan State. Yeah Steph may need to take a page out of Giannis book and threaten to leave. Warriors might be a little too comfortable in creating a transition period instead of just giving Steph whatever he needs

Too Legit

If the Nuggets win the chip Joker will be ranked amongst the greatest Centers

Mister PJ

He looks a bit better this season but for sure at the end of last season Suns KD was not looking the same. Booker is the best player on that team right now.

Hustle Westbrook

Bruh said KD looks and moves like he old out there 😭😭😭

Lesson'd Burn

I hope the Nuggets bring the game back. And a side note Michael Malone father was a Assistant Coach to the Bad Boys Pistons. Could be why their game is so reminiscent of their style of play and other great teams of that era . Nevertheless, I precaite the analysis.
