Tones: neutral, high, low, high falling, low falling, rising falling
Orthography
Most of the orthography is self-explanatory, except for the tones. ŋ can optionally be written as <ng>, and ɹ is usually written as <r> .
There are always multiple vowel letters in a syllable. Tones are written as follows:
- Neutral: no accents
- High: acute accent on the last vowel
- Low: grave accent on the first vowel
- High falling: acute accent on the first vowel
- Low falling: grave accent on the last vowel
- Rising falling: acute accent on the penultimate vowel and grave accent on the last vowel
Syntax
The language is highly isolating and generally doesn’t mark words for gender, tense/aspect/mood, case, or number. Additional words can optionally be added to clarify these properties.
The syntax is SVO and head-initial.
