Brief idea for a crossover

Alex had been volunteering with her work’s Talks team--basically a group of employees who organized TED-knockoff talks with authors, celebrities, YouTubers, etc--but this was the first time she actually had a specific person to pitch.

After taking attendance and going through updates on talks in progress, the team lead Jenny asked “Anyone have a new talk to pitch?”

Alex gingerly raised her hand.

“Yes, Alex?”

“I wanted to see if we could try getting Nikki Barnes? She’s a beauty YouTuber who’s recently pivoted into video essays and such. Also, if we could get her during pride month, she’s trans and also a lesbian, and she and her wife have a book coming out pretty soon about their life together.”

“Oh yeah, I think I watched her video on transphobia. Sounds good to me, if you want to reach out to her agent?”

One of the other team members, Matt, said “Isn’t her wife also a YouTuber? I forget her name, I think it started with a P.”

“Yeah, her wife has more of a couples vlog/lifestyle/prank channel, which I thought probably wouldn’t really appeal to people in the office. I think we would probably want to get both of them but maybe focus on Nikki a little more while promoting it.”

“Seems reasonable. Alright, any other ideas?” Jenny asked as the meeting moved on.
