I installed MediaWiki in 2014, added some plugins and skins since then, but the core software hadn't been refreshed in 6 years.
Dreamhost forced my hand with warnings that they were depreciating php5 support, which the original mediawiki was locked to.
After about a week of late nights, getting my head back into web admin stuff, I'm pleased to report the site is all rebuilt on latest tech. So mediawiki is up to date, running php7, all the plugins are updated too, and as you've probably noticed by now an update of the skin. I quite like the new one, it looks much cleaner on mobile, and seems to load faster on desktop too. Also got to fix a few niggly things like https support.
If you notice anything broken or strange please let me know. Hopefully I can put off any more web admin for another 6 years!
