Thanks Stich that does help me. I went back to review your Blues Primer Playlist and the 1st video says: "Blues is the minor pent over Major Chords" so I / IV /V over scale shape 1 does work nicely - ✌

2025-01-11 15:42:17 +0000 UTCAbsolutely! Remember, that the blues is the sound of the minor pentatonic over a major chord. Watch my master music formula video. Think of the scale choice as frosting on a cupcake, which is the chord progression. You can always change different types of frosting and still have a good cupcake. Let me know if this helps

2025-01-10 14:16:34 +0000 UTCHi Stich, I'm convinced BUT also confused. Your're playing an Amaj barre chord over the minor pentatonic scale shape #1. But I'm looking at one of your .PDF files and it says the E shape barre chord goes with scale #2? Can you clear this up for me? I can see the A chord in scale #1 but isn't the root note supposed to be under my pinky for maj and the index is minor - hope you understand what I'm trying to convey - like I said - I'm confused ...lol
