Lore Post Addendum - Downloadable Calendar
Added 2025-10-12 23:06:28 +0000 UTCSo, this took a bit longer to get around to than expected, but I have the full form of the Avalonian calendar here!
You can download it in pdf form here. Many thanks to StormyAngel for taking the time and effort to put this together and mapping my timeline onto it!
You'll likely notice that some events are shifted a bit compared to what I wrote before. The main reason for this is that the length of the year is shifted a little toward the end. This is because the length of months is variable over the course of the year as such:
(minimal lunar influence)
Alciameth = 26
Vaelimeth = 27
Mariameth = 28
Luciameth = 28
Celsremeth = 29
Raethimeth = 30
(maximal lunar influence)
Alivaemeth = 30
Celresmeth = 29
Kyriameth = 28
Vestheriameth = 28
Saerthimeth = 27
Salistrimeth = 26
Also noteworthy is that (a) we've added the dates for the Feasts of the four elemental gods:
Feast of Kyriaestria: following the 13th of Kyriameth. The Feast of Kyriaestria is currently celebrated on the day that Versalia and Avalonia made peace, which was endorsed by both sides because it makes them both look good (Versalia: "The Lady favors us" and Avalonia "It took divine intervention to stop us.") Moved there from its original date with Daphne's approval, which is as close as you can get to asking Her permission
Feast of Vesterion: following the 7th of Salistrimeth. The Feast of Vesterion is near the middle of winter when the earth is bare, but also foreshadowing the coming renewal
Feast of Raethor: after the 29th of Alivaemeth. The Feast of Raethor is a skewed reflection of his rival Vaelian
Feast of Marianna: following the 2nd of Mariameth. The Feast of Marianna is celebrated around the time of snowmelt waters in spring
And (b) the feasts don't fall on days of the week, they fall outside the normal cycle of days. Furthermore, the feasts that fall between months belong to neither of the two months (although for convenience they are displayed under the headers anyway)."
As I noted in the weekly update, the main change I'll have to retcon in from this is that It will require is that the dukes' visit in Chapter 5 be noted as falling on the Feast of Caelon, as opposed to the Feast happening in Chapter 6. I think this can mostly be handled by an invocation of the Feast at the banquet that day and adjusting some spots later to say that we did technically celebrate it, just not properly. I'm pretty sure nothing else requires major adjustment for this timeline, but feel free to point out any inconsistencies.
