Weekly Update (9-8-2025)

Public update went pretty well this week, I think. A few bugs, enough that I'll be releasing a hotfix later today.

Those are mostly pretty minor, but I made a really annoying mistake an un-fixed the most reported patreon bug because I forgot why it was changed in the first place, so I got to have x5+ more reports of that one.

Various marketing things have gone at least decently. The r/Games post, which is kind of important, has about 57k views so far and will likely have at least a bit more of a tail through tomorrow. Since it's a perennial question, I'm updating my "how much of the game is done?" generic answer to "30-50%." I suspect it's closer to the 30% end, but we'll see. XD

I need to make some other reddit posts, but those are always a pain. We've had a nice spike in views of the steam page:

So far, it's hard to tell if the publicist's efforts have born any fruit. There was a fair amount of creator outreach there. At least one guy offered to do a paid video promotion, which may be worth considering in the future, but the price is definitely outside of my budget right now. And there was at least one small German publication that did an article. Even if I don't end up getting too much out of this, I think it will have been a worthwhile experiment.

In other news, I got a start on my side writing project this weekend. That will likely be a bit more fully NSFW than Noblesse, so I may need to make a separate patreon for that, but it isn't to that point yet, so I may offer a preview for anyone interested once I get more progress. Assuming that goes well, I'll likely offer free copies of my writing to people on this side for anyone who's been a consistent supporter on this side if they want them. I have about 15-16k words on that so far, so I am kind of aiming to sprint through the first book and see how well that pans out.

I'm going to continue with that this week, but I'll also be starting work on Noblesse v0.17 this week as well with the mapping. I do intend for this to be a shorter update, especially compared to last time, but I think it should still be a good one. Once again, we're getting to some events I've wanted to do for a very long time.

Anyway, as a last note, I'll likely be doing a lore post for Baron+ tiers about the Avalonian Calendar sometime this week. But, for now, back to work on various things!
