August 2025 -- What Should I Write Next?
Added 2025-08-21 13:00:14 +0000 UTCHi all,
Late August/early Sept kicks off the busy season at my day job, so I'm going to keep this brief and forego the usual mid-month update that includes the list of things I've written/list of things that are coming up. The plan for the month is covered here, and the TLDR is that I'm roughly tracking against that plan. Expect a Speedrunner chapter and the final part of A Hospital Stay next week, before the end of the month!
I'll still do a full end-of-month recap and look ahead on September 1; for now, I'm skipping straight to the polling.
September has a preponderance of Mondays, which means five releases instead of the usual four! My plans are as follows:
Speedrunner 1.1.
Two chapters of the Thaumaturge, 17 and 18. (An additional chapter of the Thaumaturge consistently ranks highly in basically every monthly poll I do, and with five Monday releases in September, I figured I'd just commit to doing two chapters next month.)
Another release (TBD on this, I've got a couple different things brewing and just need to pick one to prioritize. I may also just pull something out of my sponsored stories file or write the top two choices from the vote below. We'll see!)
That leaves one open slot for you all to vote on. Here are the September options:
The Therapist, Chapter 11
A second Speedrunner chapter
Another Dungeon Mistress II chapter (Chris's character creation session!)
Stand-alone story: a political campaign heats up when a candidate has a little too much sex appeal. One of her advisors thinks she should tone it down. She...disagrees.
I await your votes!
As a side note, the bonus Thursday releases in September will probably be a bit sparser than they have been the last few months. I've eaten through some of my content backlog over the course of the summer, as mentioned work is about to get busy, and I don't want to get burned out, or see the quality of my writing suffer in favor of quantity.
As usual, thanks for your continued support -- and helping me decide what to write next!
