Thaumaturgical Feedback [Poll]

This post contains minor spoilers; the comments might, too. I recommend making sure you're up to speed on The Thaumaturge before reading further and voting in this poll. I posted Chapter 19 earlier this week.

Hello!

As you've seen if you read the latest chapter, there was no poll option in the Thaumaturge this week; the chapter was already starting to get on the long side with a lot of narrative, I'd hit a logical place for a chapter break, and there wasn't an obvious fork in the road for Matt yet.

However, I've got another aspect of the story that I could use some reader feedback on.

My plan is to continue to write the current, ongoing story from Matt's perspective. His limitations (magical, sexual, and otherwise) serve as an important framing device for the series.

In addition to that, I have been tossing around the idea of some flashback/interlude/side story/etc. chapters, unrelated to the main action, that flesh out perspectives from other characters.

To be clear, these wouldn't be frequent or some massive pivot for the series; I'd just occasionally sprinkle them in, here and there, alongside regular chapters where it seems like they might add to the universe, flesh out character backstories, and explore an interesting scenario. (I might also try to frame them as stand-alone stories that don't require having read the main series to understand; I think that is pretty doable.)

Examples:

These are just illustrative, not a commitment to write any of them specifically, but hopefully it shows the kind of thing I'm thinking about.

So: would you like to read the occasional side-story focused on another character?

The poll options will give me a general sentiment; if you have specific thoughts on this (something you think would be especially interesting, a character you want to know more about, a specific reason you think I shouldn't do this) drop it in the comments.

All the usual disclaimers apply here: poll results are non-binding, I reserve the right to write what seems most interesting, etc. But your feedback will help inform my choice!
