Summary
Finished Wil's Sprite Expressions
Started doing expressions for the side characters
Finished up a couple of new Sprite variations
Worked on bonus scenes!
Writing
I began writing the bonus scenes for Chapter 6 (which are technically the bonus scenarios for Chapter 5 since they cover the LI perspective of the Chapter 5 events.
I have the rough draft of Asher's done. It's what will guide me in how I want to write the rest of them.
These PoV scenes are largely focused on the LI ruminating about the planet assignment and what happened on the surface. I have to keep character dialogue to a minimum just because I need to keep continuity with later conversations in Chapter 6 and onwards.
But it's still nice to explore what is going on the LI's head as other events are happening.
Art
Received.....THE LAST BG. FINALLY. I've been getting BGs for this game for like two years. Ha ha. It's amazing to finally have all the main ones.
Not that I won't necessarily suddenly find I need an additional one. But it's nice to have the main list of them complete (especially considering that I had to have multiple ones redone MORE THAN ONCE).
Coding and Other Stuff
This week I mostly focused on coding sprite expressions. I still have a couple of accessibility things to work on but those are back burnered for the time being so I can progress on other things.
I got all of Wil's expressions done for Chapter 6. About 1000 expression changes. LoL
And I started on the side characters.
Usually Wil's expressions re about 50% of the overall total. So that means I have about 1000 to go. Give or take.
I am doing the side characters next so I can tick all of them off the list before I start working on the LIs one by one.
Upcoming Week
More sprite expressions. More bonus scenes.
More of the same of what I've been doing. LoL

My spouse returned from Japan over the weekend so that's why I got busy and forgot to post the update. Ha ha. But yeah. Sprite expression purgatory. That is where I reside at the moment. You know, the thing with BGs is that it is nice to tick that off the list but in some ways it doesn't make the project feel more complete just because those are commission and the amount of work *I* have to do hasn't actually changed. So I don't know. It is nice to tick big things off the list but that one doesn't necessarily change the needle as much as it might seem. Still am very glad to have that done though!

(I would say sprite change hell, but since you CAN work your way out, well... heh) So awesome to finally have all the BGs! That's been a pending thing for so long! Does it feel like you're finally able to tick things off the list and move toward completion?
