Here is the video I've been working on these last weeks. It was a whole new challenge for me, since I didn't record the sound when filming (the fire was too loud), so every sound of the video is dubbed.
This was recorded in my parent's house (the stone fireplace was built by my father about 15 years ago, so not really an old one !), I hope you'll like it 😃
I've added english subtitles if you'd like to understand what the french letters are about... (don't hesitate to let me know if you see any mistake !)
The video will be released on the channel tomorrow.

Vraiment superbement exécutée, j'ai aussi beaucoup apprécié les réactions subtiles a la lecture telles que le poing serré de colère et la larme tombant sur la lettre quand elle apprend la mort de son ami. Vraiment impressionnant ! (désolée pour le commentaire très en retard !!)

2021-03-26 11:47:45 +0000 UTCYes it is the Bedier version :) The fact that it was dubbed certainly affects the realism since I could not reproduce the accoustic of the original room, which is quite spacious with stone walls. If I had recorded directly when filming, there would have been more reverb.

2021-02-28 16:35:55 +0000 UTCAlso, the names in the letters were beautiful. And the reading she was doing of Tristan and Iseult was a beautiful touch. Was it the Joseph Bedier version? There was something about the voice that made it seem to me as if the speaker was facing the video, rather than speaking from within the video. This may just be my imagination, or if the recording was done facing the screen, it may be an effect of the acoustics(?)
