My upcoming YouTube video (feat. life updates and an apology)

Just swinging by to let you know, my next YT video "The Indie Animation Revolution // (PART ONE)" is currently uploading to YouTube!!

Normally, I grant you guys 24hr early access but unfortunately, due to technical hiccups, time crunches and a general lack of organization, it is now 2:20 in the morning for me and my video still has 2hrs 44mins left of upload time. I have a crazy busy day ahead of me tomorrow (anyone else attending Lightbox Expo?) so the only chance I'll get to post publicly is in a few short hours.
The reason I need to post ASAP is because it's my absolute last ditch chance to promote this darn plushie launch, which btw, don't forget to preorder your cheese creature if you haven't already!!! I'm really sorry if this is a let down. I've also not yet prepped the extra materials that Patrons normally get, like the script PDF etc but I can assure you that'll be available within a week.

Life since starting my gap year has been desperately hectic but incredible so far!! I'm getting to do so many new and nostalgic things! I'm in a theater show for the first time in 5 years, I got to foam sculpt for my school's Halloween party, I have two full time jobs AND I just finished what I think is my best video yet. I can't wait for y'all to watch all 1hr 12mins of it. Which reminds me, one of the reasons I think it looks so good is because... 

I FINALLY BOUGHT A CAMERA!!!!!!

That's right!! After six years of filming with my phone, I made my biggest purchase ever and now have a proper camera. It's a Sony ZV-E10 which, oof even though that + the 30mm Sigma lense were around $1000, it's apparently still in the lower range of camera prices. I had no idea filming equipment could be SO EXPENSIVE. I also got a teleprompter which sped up my filming process three-fold. Though it's made my filming faster and editing job easier, my only concern is sometimes I look like a soulless zombie as I try to read the lines before they scroll away lol. I'd love any feedback on the quality and presentation of this next video. Now that I feel more equipped, I want to make my uploads look legitimately good :)

Seeing as this is already a stream-of-consciousness post and I'm an oversharer who uses Patreon like a diary sometimes, I'll let you in on what my Saturday is looking like:

• 7:00am - Wake up and post my YouTube video
• 8:00am - Get pretty
• 10:00am - Arrive at Lightbox Expo in Pasadena. See/buy cool art, meet incredible artists, hang w/ fellow YouTubers + industry folks, attend lectures, hand out stickers and TALK TO YOU GUYS!! If you're at Lightbox, seriously, shoot me a message and come say hi!!! (I'll be wearing a reflective jumpsuit haha)
• 5:00pm - Attend a Netflix mixer I've been invited to (yay!! It'll be my first time meeting my liasons who've been advocating for me for 2 years!)
• 7:30pm - Go to the Procreate afterparty (last year I snuck in w a YouTuber pal who had an exhibitor pass... Never would Anya from a year ago expect Procreate to PERSONALLY INVITE HER this time!!!)
• 11:00pm - get back to my apartment and change into my Halloween costume
• 12:00am - Attend the CalArts Halloween party
• 2:00am - Go to a rave my friend is hosting in a tunnel in the middle of nowhere
• 5:00am - go the fuck to bed.

So uh... I'm gonna be tired on Sunday!!!

But seriously though, I am unendingly grateful for all the invites and opportunities I've been presented with these last few months. Every year, I surprise myself with how many amazing people I meet that happen to like me back enough to invite me to special events and give me special experiences to treasure. Perhaps it's wishful thinking but maybe from your guys' perspective, you're watching me grow from a sheltered kid from rural England to a storyteller living her dream. I sincerely hope as many of you as possible are on similar trajectories and end up getting to tell your stories to the world too!!! <3
