Andrew! I am so happy you made this video! I have always yearned for some type of culture that being white in the USA just can't provide. I also have irish ancestors, and when I looked back at my genetic history I saw that my 3rd great grandparents immigrated from Cork to Iowa (where my family has lived since) and my 3rd great grandpa was also O'Callaghan! Literally crazy! I, like you, wish I could go back in time and find a way to make sure my ancestors carried my Irish culture, heritage and history through to modern day, so that my family could feel more grounded and connected. I am committed to learning more about my Irish culture, and this video helped me do that! Thanks for keeping it real, cousin :)

Its dangerous rhetoric being pushed by the likes of Douglas Murray and the people on Triggernometry. Its being signal boosted by people like Joe Rogan. I was in Japan and met an American couple who were asking if its true what they've heard about London. Its now being used by the Trump administration in their foreign policy. On a somewhat related idea which would probably be much harder to cover, I think it’s worth looking at Cantonese as one of these dying languages. There are millions of speakers globally and they take a lot of pride in their language but to some degree the writing is on the wall. Hong Kong is an obvious starting point. I was talking with 21 year old college kids who were truly revolutionary-minded, politically educated and globally sympathetic. They were dedicated to preserving the Irish language & making it thrive again. It was truly a breath of fresh air coming from the States, where people really have no clue what's going on in their own country, let alone around the world. Belfast, fucking love you. Can't wait to see you again.
