MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY (Canal Cinco)

Gonna be rolling out 5 videos we shot in Mexico last month that'll likely later drop on our Spanish-language channel, Canal Cinco.
The first video we shot in MX, shown here, is a canvas of the recent Independence Day celebrations in Mexico City. Half of the video is hosted by Marco and Andrea in the center of CDMX (Zocalo) where President Sheinbaum gave annual 'grito.' The other half was shot Josue's hometown, Nezahaulcotoyl, where him and I did some decent coverage.
Our second video is about Tepito, the largest counterfeit market in Mexico, where some locals showed us around the shoe and exotic animal markets and took us through a makeshift day bar where patrons drink 'Pulque,' which is a pre-colonial alcoholic beverage once enjoyed by the Aztecs.
Our third video was shot in the rural state of Puebla and follows the survival and prominence of the Nahuatl Language. It will likely release as part of our 'Endangered Language' linguistic series, which we've been working on tirelessly for the past three months - which should explain some content gaps.
Our fourth video is about Lucha Extrema, extreme backdoor wrestling that takes place in the outskirts of CDMX, in the same area where we once filmed the cockfighting doc..
I'm really excited about all of this and I hope you guys are too. I am currently back in LA cranking out some edits and getting back on track, Sidam is at the Zohran Mamdani rally in NYC and the rest of the gang is taking the weekend off. Hope you guys are too!

Now I live in Seattle since 2004, nice to see Andrew learning about the cultural experiences I grew up with. It is funny to see how much we have traded places, you being from the 206 (Seattle area).
