I found out you can use browser extension apps (for safari on iphone, I'm sure on other browsers for android) to remove all kinds of UI elements like Youtube shorts, the homepage infinite feed, comment sections, or really whatever you want from the website. I know it's a youtube video but you can watch "how I reduced my screentime by 80% (guide)", that video has a lot of tips on how to set up and use those extensions. 2025-07-24 14:00:26 +0000 UTCI appreciate the dialogue, but I have to say, if you think the reason extremists in the middle east are the way that they are because of of American occupying forces, I encourage you to read "Islam and the Future of Tolerance" by Sam Harris and Maajid Nawaz. Maajid sheds a lot of light on the thought processes of his fellow Muslims, and once-fellow extremists. I think it's hard for people in the West to understand this kind of mentality without hearing it from someone like him.

A side effect of that means YouTube videos like this one (which you post on Patreon via the YouTube player) is blocked for me. I’m probably the only one in the world with this problem, but if there’s a way to fix it, I’m letting you know there’s at least one person who would appreciate it. Love you
