He’s positive and this is inspiring but I’d say the term “9-5” doesn’t apply to the stable family social media bro. Slim shady is trying to pay for mom’s spaghetti. This guy is pumping his daddy’s corporation so he can cash in on his inheritance.

Joe

"I'm allergic to nuts and shellfish" *cuts to shot of shrimp*

djio

Why?

Jeffrey Shockley

Haha that end ... such a Cliffhanger.

djdeutschebahn

screw mandatory going into the office to sit there. Big meetings and stuff like that of course.

travis henson

Your critique of the mantis doc applies to this, no real backstory just mindless feel good content

Rory

Am I just crazy or was that a lethal needle beat

Gavin Armstrong

Davis is a good guy, and if I missed it forgive me, but is he a Mormon? The quick cut to "I'm allergic to nuts and shellfish" also took me out for whatever reason lol

Riley

I had to stop watching. There's nothing interesting about this guy. Good for him and everything but I wouldn't want to have a beer with him

Dustin Hatfield

I love my 8-5 . I'm still my own boss. The stability and knowing my schedule and pay

Andrew Kee

He tryin to get a job. He's locked in

Andrew Kee

I think this Patreon could use a few more exclusive videos. Lock in Andrew, let's go baby

Chris Carter

nah this is good. tickled my brain

sockebi

And in his videos he even said that he didn't pass the financial license exam. He was too locked in to study I guess

Cory

It's like being raised in a cult. Let's see west Davis becomes after 10 more years

Cory

Same

Cory

Love to video, no villain arch. Love it just be a good person

Jessica Taylor

Didn't get a notification for this or the 3 part, weird.

Jose David Vargas

No we want funny and weird not fucking normal and boring.

Lu

Nah. Those are all different words for a reason. Workaholic influencers who endlessly parrot trite nothingness like "lock in" are just uninteresting to some of us. Doom/gloom has nothing to do with it.

Arcendus

you gonna leave one of these comments on every video glazing this guy?

Lu

Davis is solid. If this guy bothers you, I can’t begin to imagine the hatred and apathy you wallow in every day.

BoS1997

I am absolutely, 100% all in on Davis Clarke!

JoMo

Absolutely locked in for this one, let’s hammer those excel spreadsheets

Joey Caban

He said the business he looks up to the most is the company his dad works for that rents office space. He works risk managment for an unrelated company.

HP

All yall want is doom and gloom

HP

This is so uninteresting

Torque Niemi

🤣

Adam Levine

This guy is pretty typical of what we saw in the aughts before the financial collapse. Also, you had a guy on your show say going back to work is good, and then we find out that his business is….renting work space. I have to think you see this and there’s a reason or episode 3 maybe touches on this. But, I’m kinda vibing with my wife’s comment after watching of “what is this propaganda bullshit?” I love you man, hope you haven’t gone off the deep end.

Travis Ravert

Gotta stay loyal to the soil. It’s really all we got. We actually do come from the sand and return to the sand and we are the sand. The sand and family are the fundamental underpinnings of our constructs of religion and geopolitics. It’s everything. God is the earth.

madeline

I love his positivity but I feel like the wool has been pulled over his eyes somewhat. Sure corporations can do good in their communities, but I feel like he may have a blind spot for how detrimental they can be as well.

Cybin

Haha, I use "get after it" all the time in the workplace, but typically in an attempt to motivate others to do take action.

DW

I'm with you 100% I was called back in 3 days a week last fall and 5 days at the beginning of this year. I recently left for a hybrid role, which is not my preference but I'm spending less days in the office and less hours stuck in traffic. I felt compelled to "vote with my feet" regarding the return to site mandate and was glad to outline that in my exit interview. But I was not offered one, which leads me to believe that my prior company did not really care about why people are leaving. On the contrary, if employees are willing to show themselves the exit, they don't have to pay severance.

DW

it was implied by the cut to the clip after he mentions his father

max b

Is his father the president and CEO of Cummings? They share the same last name / features. Interesting this wasn't outlined if this is the case. It explains a lot why he has such a positive outlook on the corporate environment because his father has to play that role for the company as CEO of keeping everyone in the right mindset. On the flip side, its cool that if he is the CEO that Davis didn't just latch onto daddy's business and that he's trying to make his own way.

Bingo Slam

tism

Josh H

I love his outlook/attitude. It is refreshing.

Garrett L

Appreciate his attitude and positivity. My company also forced us back into the office about 8 months ago. I gave it an honest try, but it’s just not for me. More stress, lower output, time wasted commuting, and took care of myself less. I ended up quitting it recently for another fully remote job. There’s something to be said about mindpower to embrace the situation you’re in, but I reject corporate return to office mandates so long as I have the option to be remote. Companies want maximum control over our lives, and being in the office is their primary weapon. Remote work during COVID had them feel like their power was slipping, and return to office is their vengeance. Not all of us have the luxury to stay remote, but for those who do, it’s up to you to defend the life you want from your employer, because they’ll take every ounce of your life that they can manage to get. Don’t get me wrong, though. I’m absolutely locked in when I’m working from home. As Davis says, “it’s all about being accountable and doing the right thing”.

Alex Barganier

My mom used to work out of Davis’ dad’s building in Woburn. Life is wild and the world is small. God bless.

James Gilbert

These are the kind of videos that I love as one of your viewers. I have been following Davis for a while and to see a deep dive from someone I respect makes me appreciate him and you channel 5 even more.

Evan Larkin

Had never heard of this guy before these vids but now im going back to work a 9 to 5 after being retired for the last 7 years LET'S GO BABY LOCKED IN

Taylor Lyons

Theres no way seeing this guy is actually going to make anyone change from remote to in person work 😂

GW

Well put @AngryMiner some top notch journalism going on in this comment section!

DW

They're saying "I am so humble, I am so smart, I made so much money in Palo Alto, now I'm in Stevenage ABSOLUTELY RICH AND RELAXED!

Preston Bernstein

But Chris, the office is "phenomenal" etc etc

Tom Padget

He repeats catchphrases and does spreadsheets lol

Tom Padget

something is definitely off. And I dont know why but his teeth are annoying me for some reason.

trythinking

but what dos he even do!? I get people like the non stop positive comments but he only knows that one corporation his dad works for and cant even name any others he likes. And its mostly "get after it", "lets go", and "hammering it".

trythinking

Yeah I'm curious if Part 3 will explore that connection

SKWEEPZ

This dude is next level marketing for corporations

MT0D12 Flathead

a true gem this man

Laiqa Mohid

It feels like he has been groomed into loving the office. His father is an employee of his favorite company Cummins buildings. That same company happens to own property that leases buildings to companies in highly populated areas. Ones that are sitting empty due to people working from home? In episode one he was encouraging returning to the office. Cummins directly benefits from more people returning to the office. It all just feels weird.

AngryMiner

I‘ve been working in a office job for 3 months now, and man I must say I needed Davis‘ positivity. He really is a influential person, offering people a new perspective etc. Great dude .

Koray Aslan

Heck yeah this is awesome

blue_raja

Sounds pretty wholesome, 0 wrong with being positive. Also respect for being transparent about shitting yourself

Moriah

whys he sweating in the office but not while he's running?

Ejazzle

Yes, I also did it for many years when I was working fully remote. Also, working on Excel spreadsheets?! Not much value added by being in the office. Davis is hyper-extroverted, so I can understand why he would prefer to go into an office.

DW

This paragraph doesn't make sense lol

HP

Can you not be "locked in" at home? I am an internet reseller and I too sit in front of the computer and work for hours each day. I feel "locked in" am i not? I am showered and in decent clothes.

Chris Bay

I truly find this so interesting from a Taoist perspective. Y’all have no free basic healthcare and way too many guns. How naturally would it be to embrace stability? Well, it’s called homeostasis. I for one applaud those who find a shred of harmony, predictability and comfort on your side of our pond. I left in 2019 pre Covid from California. I was rich. Now I feel so very wealthy without such stress and zero governance to speak of. God bless you and amen. 🇬🇧

Gilena Simons

ngl davis won me over with this one

Thomas LaHorgue

That amount of positive energy must be exhausting though. Unless you’re extremely passionate about something that’s the only way you can maintain that kind of drive. It just isn’t realistic

Kyle Phelps

Harrison Lippy

Hell yeah this is great. So pumped to for the screening

Bad day not to be a Patreon supporter
