Read the article I posted. It's real investigative journalism from a print newspaper that's been circulated for over 20 years. It'll explain better than I can in more detail but I'll summarize. Canada already had a Truth and Reconciliation committee in 2015 that uncovered a lot of atrocities. In 2021, ground penetrating radar was used to locate burials in a Roman Catholic grave site to pinpoint the location of the burials. The media picked up on "unmarked graves" and the story just spiraled. The radar said that there may be 751 unmarked graves. However, no one has actually dug up any bodies whatsoever. The "mass graves" are all based on imprecise information from radar. Again, no one has actually unearthed any bodies, no one has dug up anything.

Born and raised Calgarian. This made me so fucking happy the show of Canadian excellence and degeneracy all in one video. Ik you like it in the south in America Andrew you should hang around more of the conservative provinces you will get more footage like this. You went straight for a pretty hard bastion of our most conservative pride here in Canada, the stampede. I liked how you were able to show the varying opinions of people in Calgary in the Stampede. Lots of love, it is a fun awesome party, but it also has some darker sides to it like with Alexis, and even with everything she has been through even she has fond memories of it. I get that, I also have never missed a stampede my whole life, it doesn't even feel like an option it just is what we do in Calgary. Now on the topic of the Indigenous population, I loved the two guys you interviewed, the young native population is super proactive in spreading their message, and exposure like yours is huge, on top of that they also felt like the Native kids I grew up with, very cool and nice but also usually tattoo's and chains, and a sense that their lives had been a lot harder than ours. One of my best friends is from the Queen Elizabeth Reservation up north in Alberta, I would encourage you all to consider filming either there or on the Reservation that the dude mentions in the video. The Queen E Reservation is really rough, and it genuinely is like a third-world country but the people at least the ones I know from there are great people. It is just dangerous, I would highly recommend getting a tour guide of sorts if you do go, do not just pull up and film. This is all just a pipe dream from a local, but your coverage of the indigenous struggle hit hard, and I know you all have a thing for covering dangerous places (you did do Ukraine lol) so I thought I would recommend it. The history is fresh, I am 20 and the year I was born was the year that last residential school was closed, many kids who went to school with me had parents aunts uncles, and grandparents who were only now grappling with life outside of the system. Finally on the note of that queer lady talking about Vancouver, yes all the more liberal provinces have way better and safer queer scenes. That being said the amount of queer people in Alberta is astounding, and it is another interesting topic of contention in our city. We have huge numbers of trans kids, and literally a single Endrochronologist. This is not a good thing, but we also are a very queerphobic province so it is not exactly like anybody expects things to get drastically better any time soon. YYC for life, thanks again for a banger that video that went above and beyond my expectations for a video about my hometown~
