Wow, thanks for your support!

Wow!  Thanks to all who wanted the Keys to the Archive!

Aside from my guaranteed monthly album reconstructions, I was thinking of doing bi-weekly additional stuff for you folks on this tier.  I have some ideas so I thought I'd make a poll to see what you folks would even like to see/hear!

Please vote on what "bonus content" you'd like to see here.  Vote for as many as you like.  Feel free to "write in" additional stuff in the comments, and I'll see what I can do!

Thanks. Whatever you choose is good with me!

Sure! I'll add it to the list. But know that I essentially have 7 or 8 finished reconstructions and like another 25 in various states of completion. So The Purple Tape would be thrown on the pile, you know?

Jesse Miller

A while back in the comments, you mentioned possibly working on the Pixies Purple Tape. Is this still a possibility?

J Z

I appreciate your input!

I'm (surprisingly) not a huge Love fan, but I'll look into it!

Jesse Miller

Have you ever considered the never-was fourth album by the original Love titled "Gethsemane"? I made my own mix using the spare "Forever Changes" tracks, a few from Bryan MacLean's "ifyoubelievein", and what I considered the most appropriate-sounding tracks from "Four Sail". I wouldn't consider this definitive by any means--just something for my own amusement, but I would be interested in someone else's perspective.

Cliff

I actually made a completely new stereo mix of this for the album's 25th anniversary, but never uploaded it. So this is one of the possible upcoming reconstructions you all will be able to vote on.

Jesse Miller

So cool to be able to support you! I've been a fan of your reconstructions for a while now. Quick question: Is there any chance you could add your mix of Zaireeka to the archive? I had it back in the day and loved it.

Ian Burt

Hmmm, interesting, I'll see what I can do. There's A LOT of these unfinished Zappa albums that evolved into other stuff, so it's sort of daunting to choose which, as well as being presumptuous of how Zappa would have edited something together, you know?

Jesse Miller

I'm a hudge fan of your reconstructions, especially the Smile Hitsville Mix. It seems label owners gave the tape to Zappa after Brian gave up and told him "look what you can do with this stuff". Really love The Beatles - A Doll's House too, astonishing! I'm happy to support. I have a wish (but I know it's a huge work) : The History And Collected Improvisations Of The Mothers Of Invention 12 lps...

Me too, been a massive fan of the blog for over a year, got loads of your work, glad to contribute for all your efforts

I'm happy to support your work here! As a life-long sucker for unreleased, or alternative albums . your blog has been a true delight, and I daresay many of your reconstructions are definitive ("We're Only In It For The Money", "Lifehouse", "Dream Factory", and "Rat Patrol from Fort Bragg" are among my personal favorites). Thank you for your endeavors!

Cliff
