BUT, to address one of your questions, starting with the release of Midwest Princess, I think one reason Chappell is so commanding is that every one of those songs, however you rank them and regardless of your orientation or whatever, grabs your heart by the throat (to mix metaphors) and pulls you in so you //feel// it. I think another reason, as far as being on stage goes, is that, by now, SHE knows that WE know that SHE knows who she is and damn anyone who tries to make her something else. The perfect mix of backbone and beauty.
