Reward Update: Patreon Early Release Distribution (Steam Key) - Distribution Update

Greetings everyone!

We're sorry for the radio silence since the deadline passed and we now owe you an update on what comes next for this distribution.

In short when we initially set the release date for Sunrider Legends (which in turn influences the date of the Patreon early release distribution) we did so having met all requirements and partner timelines that were expected of us to achieve this date, Friday 1st August. From this point we had in mind that Friday 25th July would be our aim for when keys would start going out for qualifying Patreon backers.

Not long after making the public announcement of the release date we were contacted about additional requirements we would need to participate in to release the game on Steam, the length of this process potentially meaning we would have to consider delaying the release date of the game.

As of earlier today we can now confirm these requirements are now resolved and we will not need to delay the release date. That said, as we initially went into today thinking we would need to adjust the release date we'll now need a bit more time to dust off the original plan. Our aim is for key distributions to start later on today, or potentially at the latest tomorrow. This distribution is currently our top priority and we will start sending them out as soon as we're able.

We ask that you keep an eye on the email inbox for the address associated with your Patreon account this weekend, including your junk folder as the key will be sent from a Sekai Project email address and not through a Patreon DM. As most junk folders will have some form of auto-delete rule on them, we also highly recommend using the key as quickly as you're able to do so.

If by the end of the weekend you have still not got your Steam key, or you have any concerns / issues please reach out to us through Patreon DM to discuss further.

As per will be detailed in your your key emails, please note the following rules around screenshots and recordings. These will be:

1) Do not stream or record videos of the game until after the general release date on Friday 1st August.

2) Screenshots can be taken for personal use, but do not distribute them more widely until after the general release date on Friday 1st August.

Finally please be mindful of sharing spoilers, you will have a head start over others when it comes to the general release date and everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the game at their own pace. We will be setting up a channel on our Discord server for those looking to have discussions with other early release players.
