I just can't but share this very quick tip I use in my current project. I talk about fake DOF!
It makes a very cool cinematographic effect and I believe that it brings your graphics to the next level!

It's not a very complex trick but I hope it will be useful for you especially if you're tired of sharp flat vector style.
