How to Teach Airspace

Although there may be many different ways to teach airspace, this is the way that I have found over the years have been most effective in the retention of information from the student. Please keep in mind that this video is only information in regard to the teaching of the material. It is not a discussion of airspace or special use air space or temporary flight restrictions.
In the video, I discuss a layout of some airspace reference cards that the student can make on their own. Here is the following layout of the cards that they can produce and study from or either use to help present to their students.
- Name of airspace
- Typical dimensions
- How it appears on a VFR Sectional
- VFR Weather Minimums and Cloud Clearances
- What you need to enter the airspace
- Speed limitations
- Any other information as appropriate
