3/28 Progress and general video structure
Added 2025-03-28 23:27:29 +0000 UTCHello, Patrons. Making bullet train progress here. Today, officially -- I was supposed to be wrapping up STS-41C, or "Flight 2" as it's covered in the film. Instead, I just wrapped Flight 4.
-41B, -41C, -41D, and -41G are complete. (We'll learn more about what happened to -E and -F in the video!) I'm now a full 48 hours ahead of schedule.
I have an INKLING that captioning may take longer than the single day I allotted it, so the time we're making up now is really money in the bank for the back end of things, 4/4 is still the target for now, but it COULD come out a day earlier than that, wink wink. We'll see.
Now that most of the video has its shape, I wanted to share with you some timestamps to get a general idea of how this thing is structured and how long each mission segment is, so here goes:
0:00 - 23:34: Ancient History (you know how it is)
23:35-1:09:20: STS-41B
1:09:21-1:39:45: STS-41C
1:39:46-2:01:44: STS-41D
2:01:45-2:26:51: STS-41G
That's all I've edited so far.
We've got one more flight to cover, and then the conclusion of the video itself.
Yes, there's an '80s montage' on one of the flights.
Oh, and I will be releasing exclusive Patron content in the days following the release: Every launch scene with the music track removed, leaving only the raw audio. There will also be more goodies coming along.
That's it for now! I simply cannot wait for you to see the STS-41B and STS-41C sequences. It may be my favorite work I've ever edited, full stop. These are REALLY exciting moments.
See you.
