Hey, Patrons. You can expect a much more regular series of updates in the coming days as we get down to the wire. Just writing to let you know I am, so far -- on target to my 4/4 release plan. I have approx. 45 minutes of the video edited, and we've only just deployed Westar VI and saw a balloon explode in space. For any space buffs out there that are aware this video covers through STS-51A, you will realize that we've got quite a ways to go!
I've almost always edited from a position of footage scarcity. Now, my issue is: "How do I make sure all of this gets in!?"
So much amazing footage. I can't really commit to it yet, but there's a chance that this could bust the 3-hour mark. Not by a lot, certainly -- we have plenty of time left to go before we even threaten it. I've always been a very poor judge of runtime and I typically don't even think about it, editing organically. Somehow I magically end up between 2:30:00 and 2:45:00 about 90% of the time. Well, I can tell you this one is shaping up to be one of the giants.
Talk to you again soon.
