Firm Release Date: 4/4 for Patrons
Added 2025-03-24 22:14:20 +0000 UTCIt's finally upon us. Everything's coming together like clockwork, and thanks to a VERY long preparatory phase, editing is absolutely rushing by.
Based on very conservative estimates, the video should be 'fully edited' by April 1st. I've got three whole days built into the schedule for padding, so you can put money in the bank on April 4th. See you all then.
Public release will be 4/12, for obvious Shuttle-program anniversary timing considerations. (and Gagarin, of course!)

I've always believed that, deep down -- people who watch and enjoy space documentaries, on a subconscious level, want to fly into space. Even if they may be terrified of the prospect physically, even if they are completely comfortable and happy on the ground. Their mind yearns to wander. Part of that analysis is just old-fashioned projection, because *I* want to fly into space. But if I've learned anything from making these films, it's this: "Take people there". Don't just tell them about the journey, bring them along onboard.
